About this listen

Gideon's Fall from Grace comes after one too many boring days atop the Golden Gate Bridge as a Watcher. Tethered by celestial restraints and feeling abandoned by the very beings who "enhanced" him, he rebels in a very public fashion, forever altering the San Francisco skyline. At first he just wants to escape. But later he wants revenge on a heartless Supreme Being and his angelic minions for having ruined his immortal life. Can a freak who dwells somewhere between heaven and hell find love and happiness in a typical Wine Country small town?

Vamped angel

What made the experience of listening to Gideon: Heavenly Fall the most enjoyable?

I absolutely loved JD Hart s voices for this unique story.

What did you like best about this story?

Sharon Hamilton has taken us into a new paranormal series with a different hero in Gideon and all the crazy goings on and the quirky secondary characters.

Which character – as performed by J.D. Hart – was your favorite?

The hero Gideon, the more you heard of JD remarkable adaption the more you got to like him. Francis was hilarious too.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes I could have easily but, I found it more enjoyable to listen in stages as I didn't want to rush it and miss some of the incredible funny moments

Any additional comments?

Although Sharon Hamilton has done previous paranormal novels I felt this one was a different kind of hero with help from some very different sources. It was even quite funny. JD with his amazing ability, voices and range was exceptional and once again Sharon and his collaboration made for a very enjoyable listening experience. I hope we hear more of Gideon in the future

If you could sum up Gideon: Heavenly Fall in three words, what would they be?

I have read the book once and loved it, its a story that kept my attention, now being able to listen to it, it brought it in so much clsoer to me, the story sprung up and all I had to do is close my eyes and feel drawn in. And JD Hart the narator, wow is all I can say, his voice, brought the characters even clsoer to me then possible, will continue to listen to all and any books Sharong has, she has a way of taking you directly there and you feel that you are part of the soptry. t

It was ok

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. This book was ok. Don't really understand how the intro fits in with the rest of the story. At first, I thought it was an excerpt of what was to come later, but it was never mentioned again. Also, the book ends kind of funny. Maybe the intro is something that will be explained in a future book?

Gideon and Persephone

The first story in the Fall From Grace Series, I will be watching for more in this series. Gideon and Persephone's story is well written with drama, suspense, danger, bots, twists, turns, evil beings, and romance. I enjoyed listening to J.D. Hart narrate this story his voice always draws me into the story he is reading at the time. I found this story to be well worth listening to.

Unexpected

This was truly an unexpected story. I have read/listened to numerous books by Sharon Hamilton and I was not expecting a story about a Vampire/Angel!! JD Hart has an amazing voice and makes the story come to life!! I highly recommend this book!!

Sexy, Dark, Must read

Would you listen to Gideon: Heavenly Fall again? Why?

Yes. This book is unlike any other book that I’ve read/listened to before. Sci-Fi is not a normal genre for me, but I was happy to dive in head first. This book shows the progression of Gideon, human turned vampire, turned Guardian, turned dark angel.

What did you like best about this story?

When I first started listening to this book, I didn’t really feel connected to the character of Gideon. He seemed angry, resentful, and lost. As the book continued, I felt like I connected to the character.

What does J.D. Hart bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

As always, J.D. Hart does an amazing job with the narrations. He brings such complexity to every character, and helps you to connect to each character.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

What I thought was going to be a book about a character turned bad, ended up being a unique love story and a story of trying to save someone from themselves.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to try a new genre. You never know what may catch your interest. I was given an arc for my un-biased review.

Hello Mr Dark and Gloomy!!

What made the experience of listening to Gideon: Heavenly Fall the most enjoyable?

*audio review copy received from author*

Well.... this just goes to show you not all "dark" angels are bad and not all good, are good. I liked this story. It was a tiny bit slow in the beginning, took a little to get into it but boy howdy, when it did start rolling... it was off to the races. Haha

I'm a huge fan of Sharon Hamilton, and I love meeting new characters. I love Angel stories and with the mix of craziness she brings into these characters lives, you just get wrapped up in the story. Or I do anyway.

Gideon is an angel but not just any angel, he's a vampire/angel hybrid who happens to be a guardian. Tasked with keeping the suicidal humans from jumping to their deaths on the Golden Gate Bridge. But, after 60 years atop the cables, he's bored, hungry and he needs to get laid. Like, seriously, he's a typical man there.

When he causes mayhem, kidnaps a woman and then turns her into his willing bed buddy.... well things go topsy turvy. He's assigned a guardian, and not just any guardian... no, he gets to look into he eyes of the woman that "saved" him and made him an angel.

To say he's not pleased to see her is to put it lightly. If not for the supreme being's protection, she'd be so meat. But.... as with anything in life (real of not) things happen. Now, Gideon and his guardian are on a mission. One that will lead them to the Latrell's of their lives, and back again. Darkness falls upon them and the only way to survive is to fight.

Together they have to make a difference, thing is, they have to be able to stay alive, not lose faith and... believe what's before them is real.

Escape means freedom, that freedom will lead them to an eternal love.

Fall From Grace Book One

Fall From Grace Book One.

Gideon is the only one of his kind - a vampire turned angel. After being relegated to Watcher status for years, he decides to let his vampiric nature override his angelic side. In a spectacularly public display, Gideon drives a blood mobile over the side of the Golden Gate Bridge, destroying the bridge in the process. Persephone is sent by her Father to guard Gideon and keep him from fully turning dark. When she sees a dark shape whisk away Gideon's chosen lover, she wakes him and warns him of the peril. Joined by Gideon's only angelic friend, Francis, Persephone and Gideon set out to eliminate the threat to Gideon and the humans surrounding him.

If you're looking for a new take on the Vampire/Angel hybrid, this is the book for you!

Vampire or Angel?

Sharon Hamilton does paranormal? I was intrigued, I love Ms. Hamilton’s military romance series and was excited to see her take on a completely different genre. Gideon is a darker, violent and more sexually explicit book than the SEAL’s series in my opinion.

I think fans who enjoy PNR are going to enjoy Sharon Hamilton’s unique spin on this genre. Gideon is suspenseful and definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat and there’s no cliffhanger! I can’t wait to see where the series goes from here.

JD Hart narrates all Sharon Hamilton’s books and it’s no wonder, his fully voiced productions are a marvel and this one is no different. The sound and audio production are done to perfection.

Interesting story

Any additional comments?

I'm not a paranormal/fantasy fan but I liked this story. Since I haven't listened to any of this genre before, I wasn't sure what to expect. It had excitement and romance/sex in it. Actually a LOT of sex but it went along with the story. I enjoy Sharon Hamilton's SEAL stories more but this was enjoyable, too. I always like listening to J.D. Hart narrate, too. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
