Publisher's summary

"Glazov...what does it mean, the name you call me - Ptichka?"

"It means: 'Little bird.'"

"And why did you choose that name for me?"

"Because I know if I allowed you, you would fly away."

I have been immersed in criminal activity from the day I was born. I was bred for the sole purpose of carrying on my father's reign of terror. I was born into the Bratva, and I would die in the Bratva. It was my destiny.

I learned how to spot a fighter from a very early age, and Kathleen had that fighting spirit inside her. I wasn't sure what her story was, but she piqued my curiosity. In my gut, I also knew I'd left my mark on her. She'll never be the same, never recover from unwittingly drawing my attention.

Is the narrator from Texas or Russia?🙄

This is my second attempt to make it through this book. I finally caved because I noticed that the author changed narrators after this book and I wanted to read other books in the series. I finally finished the entire book. I really enjoyed the story but the narrator was AWFUL!!! He had a southern accent no where near Russian. I'm so confused why this was even permitted. I was absolutely bothered by the way that he said Ptichka. He shortened the I in the word and he sounded more like a pervert than a sexy Russian Bratva. I will make sure to steer clear of any books from this narrator going forward. The wrong narrator will kill the story. This is a really good story too.
So I recommend if your lifestyle can afford it to read the book instead of listening to it. This book is a must read. Listening to it may kill the awesomeness of the story. Suffer at your own risk and don't say that I didn't warm you🤨

erotic drama

this story was highly erotic and for that reason highly engaging. There were few things that didn't quite come together for me like the actual relationship in chemistry between the two protagonist. however that didn't mean that I didn't enjoy the scenes that involved coupling. the production quality was good. I would have liked a stronger more dominant narrator but this one was okay.

Damn...this was hottttt! Loved every naughty bit.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

The characters were very well rounded and believable. I started off not liking Glazov, but then I ended up thoving him. Kathleen was just too cute. I wanted her more than Glazov did LOL!

What other book might you compare Glazov to and why?

The Dirty series by Meghan March. She is also able to craft a masterpiece of a story and I like the darker viewing into the minds of the characters.

Which character – as performed by Dirk Hooper – was your favorite?

GLAZOV! He is one bad man that takes whatever he wants. You want to dislike him, but you just can't. Dirk Hoopers narration skills are great! He has a very sexy voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I can't tell you that..........(Blushing)

Any additional comments?

One of the best narrated books I have listened to in a very long time. I think I broke my record in the speed that I finished it in. The story is well written and the consummate narration skills were wonderful.

Sexy and fun!

Glazov is a hot story about a sexy Russian mobster and the redhead he becomes obsessed with. Their relationship is unusual and complicated, to say the least, but romance (and lots of kinky sex) follows.

Suzanne Steele knows how to bring her characters to life through her punchy dialogue. It's a fun and fast story. I love both Glazov and Kathleen. But come on... Glazov is so dreamy that I can see why he ALWAYS gets his way.

Chris Hemsworth, for the movie. Just saying.

Dirk Hooper's voice-work makes me makes me weak inside. When he booms Glazov's words it makes me blush. The difference between reading those lines in a book, and hearing those lines spoken by him is like night and day. I'd listen to him record the phone book.

I can't wait for the next book!

No Russian Accents...not really!

I am trying really hard to finish this one. Great story but the narrator doesn’t work well with this story. 😕

Review Glazov, Born Bratva, Book 1

I found the story riveting and the sex worked me into quite a lather. Dirk Hooper, the vocal performer, was amazing. His voice is like butter and transitions effortlessly between characters. I want more!!!

Unsuitable narrator! DNF!

This book features a Russian born “hero” who is a Pakhan is the Russian mafia aka Bratva. The narrator sounds nothing like the hero should sound. He sounds more suited to narrating a book featuring a leader of a MC in Missouri or something. It was very difficult to buy in to the character since the narration was so at odds with who the lead character was supposed to be. I tried, but could not, overlook the discordant narration. Resultantly, I stopped listening at 25%. I have a lengthy commute to work everyday and find that audiobooks make it tolerable, even enjoyable! The story seems interesting so I might read it at some point when I have the time.

Narrator horrific!

I purchased this and then returned it as soon as I could for a refund. The narration for this series on Audible is horrifying, just horrible! Both this narrator and the later one neither did it for me!
These are stories of the Bratva mafia, Russians. They are rough, violent and street wise. Their not Yanks or mealy mouthed, sweet little voices with high pitched squealers that these narrators speak like. These are dirty tough guys. They live by the Russian Bratva code.
I didn't manage two chapters of the audio before I gave it up in disgust!
I have all the novels so I will stick with those and enjoy them much better.
I do not recommend the audiobooks of this series to anyone!!!
