Publisher's summary

In 1945, US intelligence officers in Manila discovered that the Japanese had hidden large quantities of gold bullion and other looted treasure in the Philippines. President Truman decided to recover the gold but to keep its riches secret. These, combined with Japanese treasure recovered during the US occupation, and with recovered Nazi loot, would create a worldwide American political action fund to fight communism.

This "black gold" gave Washington virtually limitless, unaccountable funds, providing an asset base to reinforce the treasuries of America's allies, to bribe political and military leaders, and to manipulate elections in foreign countries for more than fifty years.

Should be in every school America

Incredible story of virtue in our fighting men and greed in the leaders! This should be used as curriculum in every history class in America where most of us learn nothing. Nothing real. Nothing truthful. Nothing significant. In contrast, this book is filled with well documented explosive history.

Paradigm changing book

Why did Nixon take the US off the gold standard? Why does The Federal Reserve hold the US gold reserve? The Fed is a private, for scandalous profit, conglomerate of banks.

The mythology around the supply and history of gold.

Reads like historical mystery fiction. But sadly true…

Becoming "Awoke"

If you really want to understand what our world is today then you must go back to what happened to us after WW2 and the situations that happened then that affected today.
The birth of the CIA, the amount of Gold that is above ground and who runs the world, this book gives insight to many of these questions. Caution, this book will change how you view the world

Still very relevant

This story is brilliant, not ending where I thought it was headed at the start. Though written around the Baby Bush era, still completely relevant today. Explains much of what is wrong here in the U.S. right now, almost to the point of despair and hopelessness. I think I fully understand now...
