About this listen

In this disturbing exposé, journalist Paul L. Williams describes a secret alliance forged at the close of World War II by the CIA, the Sicilian and US mafias, and the Vatican to thwart the possibility of a Communist invasion of Europe. Williams presents evidence suggesting the existence, in many European countries, of "stay-behind" units consisting of 5,000 to 15,000 military operatives. The initial funding for these guerrilla armies came from bogus British bank notes and the sale of large stocks of SS morphine that had been smuggled out of Germany and Italy. As the Cold War intensified, the units were used not only to ward off possible invaders but also to thwart the rise of left-wing movements in South America and NATO-based countries by terror attacks.

Williams argues that Operation Gladio soon gave rise to the toppling of governments, wholesale genocide, the formation of death squads, financial scandals on a grand scale, the creation of the mujahideen, an international narcotics network, and, most recently, the ascendancy of Jorge Mario Bergoglio, a Jesuit cleric with strong ties to Operation Condor (an outgrowth of Gladio in Argentina) as Pope Francis I.

Not Surprised

When evil is done, even though the evildoer is dead that’s a conspiracy. How does it continue? It’s not hard to realize that black and brown in the United States were not targeted by a few dirty cops as some detractors of this book would claim.

Furthermore, the book identifies the levels of power, hate and murderous corruption that will always plague a society ran by devils. Williams did an excellent job in pointing us towards the truth. The rest is up to you. Gary Webb did the same and mysteriously ended up gone. Thanks Paul. May there be a place in heaven for those like you who stand for truth just because it’s the right thing to do.

More Than Your Money's Worth

This book was outstanding; quite the eye opener. While this book seems hard to believe, much of what it talks about can be verified by other literature talking about the same subjects covered in this book. It is well researched.

A book anyone should read !

The story reveald here was told summarily in newspapers, but hier is the complete version, much worse than depicted in publications until now. Many witnnesses payed a high price for revealed the ugly details, because the people involved are most powerful individuals and institutions.

WOW

Excellent! I purchased the audiobook...The narration can be dry at times due to the subject matter but I liked the narrators voice overall. I felt like I was being briefed on Gladio and it’s many components by someone who had just had their morning coffee. At times, I found myself wishing that I had bought the physical book as a companion piece, mostly because I would need to backup the audio 30 seconds every now and then when names/ events were listed off that I found to be important. Definitely going to buy the physical book now to highlight/take notes. As someone who was aware of Gladio and other clandestine operations to a certain degree, I was impressed and satisfied with the depth of PLW’s work on the subject. This is one of those books that reminds you that there is still much to learn and more research to be done! Simply amazing and eye-opening book that helps you connect the dots to how we are where we are at in the present age (it touches on contemporary connections). I do not normally conduct reviews beyond the “star” rating feature but felt compelled to give a short blurb in hopes of convincing others to take a gander at this underrated work. Buy it!

A book for every American and Catholic

A very eye opening book, that explains a lot about things that are happening in the shadows of society, that most people will never see.

Very enlightening, but the story is hard to follow

I enjoyed all the valuable information contained here. It’s enlightening and has connected a lot of “dots” for me. The story was hard to follow at points, but worth it.
