A good performance from a book straight from the Godfather of Parapsychology. I think he may have invented ghosts :-)

I dont want to give any spoilers. but truly every story has a great moment with all the research involved.

Which character – as performed by Jim Tedder – was your favorite?

I love when he narrates the females I feel a lot of men have a hard time "feeling out" a woman's emotions through words. he was spot on.

I went into this wanting amazing tales of ghost stories with some excitement. What I got was snores. Made it through about 1/3 of the book before I had to quit. The narrator sounds like a robot and his inflection and cadence was so distracting, I couldn’t enjoy the book. Perhaps it would have been more interesting with a different narrator.

I enjoyed this one - as Hans Holzer did a lot of different research, bringing some unique stories and perspectives. A great read if you are looking for a short weekend book!

I had come across Holzer Files on the Travel Channel and had watched the show with my Mom - in - Love. Then I started looking to see more about if there were books about or by him. It turns out that there are many.

I started with this one and enjoyed his journey around Ireland. He found out history and who lived in the areas he visited. Together with Cybil and his wife Kathryn they would visit various haunted places and Cybil would go into a trance and let the spirit speak through her. In many cases, they would be able to help them move on.

Mr Tedder did a very good job with narration, adding to the creepiness of the stories.

I sat up last night listening to this book and I actually did enjoy this. It is just Hanz Holzer telling ghost stories and it's WONDERFUL! I liked the way it was written, how it was narrarated and the flow of it all. Loved this and will buy others like it. National treasure, this Holzer man.. 😊

The narrator read like a fifth grader giving a book report. The stories have more fiction than fact to them...I did some research. I wanted to sit through a root canal without painkillers.
