Publisher's summary

His worst burns are from the fire she didn’t start...

Being someone’s rock is a role Rio Gibson never saw herself playing. On most days, she’s not convinced she can even care for her adopted stray cat. But waiting for the safe return of the man she loves might be the most excruciating trial of her life, and she’s pulled herself together with strength she never knew existed.

Grant Twombley has reached his limit. Normally gregarious and good-natured, his spirit takes a leave of absence after he’s returned to Rio’s side. He’s unharmed - or so it appears. He never thought he’d revisit the dark side of his temperament, but it slides back into place like his favorite worn-in jeans. And what do you know? The damn things still fit.

Maybe a little too well.

If Rio can conquer her demons, she just might be the guiding light Grant needs. But will it be enough for them to finally have their shot at happiness?

Great Series

This is a great series, it’s sad, funny, serious and edgy. I love Angel Payne and Victoria Blues way of letting you get to know the characters and I want to know more. This book also has great narration, I can’t wait for the next book!

Donna (Doc)

Absolutely love this series!! Narrators are awesome and can't wait to get the next installment. I have to hear about Elijah's antics. I have every book in the series and have no doubt will listen to them again at some point. I have to know who is perpetuating all the drama on Bas and his friends and family.

The story + narration was on point 😍

Gah, this series just keeps getting better!
Where do I start with Grant's Blaze? The author has a such a way with words and character building, creating a world of suspense, thrill, mystery, emotion with passion all the way through. This book was a bittersweet read for me. Rio's story hit close to home for me on many leaves. Her loss, devastation and her mental health and finding new love after losing your first. Three things that I myself have been through.

As the author starts to wrap up Rio and Grant's story within this incredible series, in this book, you start to see a relationship form between Rio and Elijah, the banter between them two at times was hilarious... Elijah is not someone you want to mess with and he certainly gives Rio a run for her money! You start to get a feel for secondary characters such as Hannah and you can tell Rio is very protective of her. We finally start to get some answers on who is after Sebastian and why they are after him. Grant is battling with some demons from his past, ones he never really knew he had until he was taken hostage by the men that jumped the boat. Rio and Grant's bond and relationship strengthened. The chemistry, heat and passion between these two is off the charts, yet it is tested as Grant battles with PTSD. Is Rio strong enough to support Grant through this? Will Grant let her? Will these two have a happily ever after or have they both been through too much?

The development with the characters and the plot was on point and I don't feel like the author missed a beat. The story of Grant and Rio has been an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish and I am more than impressed with how the author has portrayed important aspects in their story and stayed true to the characters, mental illnesses and everything these two have been through with and without each other.

These two hold a very special place in my heart and always will and I am sad to let them go but so eager to see what the author has up her sleeve for the next couple. If it's anything like the last. 6 books of the series, I know I am going to love the series even more if that's even possible.

All in all, the authors story is gripping, descriptive and very well written. This was amazing and I will continue to go back over and over again, never tiring from the story and finding new things to fall in love with each time I re-read this series so far. Very well written, unpredictable, unputdownable and all-consuming from the very beginning. Everything and more when it comes to romantic suspense! A must-read!

Ended So Abruptly!

I enjoyed the story a lot. However, I was a bit put off by how abruptly it ended. I realize these stories interlock with others in the series so there’s more to come, but I’m still confused about this mysterious big baddie who continues to lurk. It feels like part of the story but not really. Overall looking forward to continuing the series.
