Dex Cooper
Bassist, addict, charmer.
He came blaring into my world playful and demanding. Hiding his demons behind a panty melting smile. I knew he was bad for me but Dex made bad feel so good. So I played along with his games until he destroyed everything. With Dex Cooper, everything was a game but I’m done playing.
Siobhan Rawlings
Fiery redhead, cherry pie, mine.
She eased the cravings that ruled my body. Gave me peace from the memories that haunt me. But I knew it wouldn't last. I couldn't keep her. I destroy everything and I would ruin her if I didn't let her go. But I couldn’t do it, so I made her my wife.
She thought we were just having fun, thought this was just another game we were playing.
She’s wrong and now I have to prove to her that this time I'm playing for keeps.
Return to the world of Forgotten Legacy.

The chemistry between Dex and Siobhan was off the charts. Some of the scenes...well all I can say is HOLY HOTNESS! First we had strawberries, now we have cherries. I don't know about you but I can't look at fruit the same way anymore.
This Forgotten Legacy tattooed, bad boys series has quickly made its way onto my all-time favorites list.

This story had everything I look for in a book, romance, super hot loving, mystery, a little danger and we get to catch up with the characters from the previous books.
I recommend this audio book for all the reasons listed above but also because L. Ann is such a fantastic storyteller, this book has so much emotion in the written words, I stayed up way past when I should have been sleeping to finish this book, it was that good.
Love this book

Thomas always does a wonderful job giving books life and I was sucked back in and loved every minute of it. I love to read then listen because what I focus on and what the narrator emphasizes opens my eyes to things I missed while reading adds and extra layer of emotion and just blows me away.

When Dex first saw Siobhan Forgotten Legacy had been discovered but he wasn't as well recognised as Gabe and Seth, so he could still go out without being mobbed. He was on a subway train, she was talking with her landlord on the phone, Dex went over having heard her end of the conversation, took the phone from her and told her landlord that he was engaged to her. When the phone call finished he told her he was going to marry her. She thought he was joking but she didn't yet know just how serious Dex was about that statement.
When Dex was younger something happened which has scarred both him and Luca, that and his bad upbringing led him to drugs, his mother giving him his first taste at age 13! He's been in rehab and nearly died several times but until he faces the demons in his past and acknowledges that he's an addict then he will never be clean.
We first met Siobhan in book one, she's Harper's best friend but what we didn't know then is that she knew Dex but was fighting her attraction to him.
The story tells us their story from their first meeting, years ago, before Siobhan met Harper right up to the present day, we learn about Dex's history, his drug abuse, everything in fact that made him how he is. The story is told from two perspectives and in different timelines as they both remember their earlier encounters. The author did such a good job of moving the story backwards and forwards letting their story unfold at just the right time with so much emotion and so many surprises I felt like I was on a rollercoaster ride
I was hooked from beginning to end and I know that I will listen to it again, as indeed I will with all the books in this series, It’s a beautifully written story it’s dark and gut-wrenching, but you never feel that either of them has given up hope of finding their happy ever after together, the love they share is undeniable and through their love comes healing.
The epilogue set us up for the next book and told us what had been bothering Gabe. But is there a happy resolution for him and Harper and what will happen about Luca?
I loved this one, I laughed and I cried, I think I'm in love with Dex!
The narration of this book, the whole series, in fact, is by one of my personal favourite narrators Thomas Locklear, he's super talented and has worked his wonderful magic yet again.
I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

Thomas Locklear, narrator brings a hard edge vibe to the rock star characters. His ability to convincingly voice a female is surprising and believable. The story is good but the back and forth timeliness can be confusing at times.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, L. Ann cast the perfect narrator to bring her characters and story to life. Thomas Locklear rocks it as he covers to roles for all the characters, giving each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. His female voice is so convincing it sounds like a dual narration adds to the fact that he switches character roles effortlessly, never missing a beat. He has a complete understanding of the characters he portrays and owns the role, sounding believable and just as I picture them to sound. You could hear how much heart he puts into his work as he captures the character’s emotions and projects them into his performance. Thomas Locklear is an entertaining storyteller, his talent takes an awesome story and enhances it to another level of awesomeness. Thank you for another exceptional listen. It is always a pleasure to listen to your work.

This is book 3 of the series but it does stand alone quite well. There are references/throw backs to what happened in the first 2 books but it's all crafted in a way that you will want to know more if you don't, but it won't draw away from the enjoyment of this specific story.
Dex Cooper is the band's bassist and resident recovering addict (he doesn't think he's an addict, but he's totally an addict). At the start of the story he's been off drugs for several months, but learning the why of his addiction and learning to heal the real way it where this ride takes us. He's flawed and manipulative, but it's all perfect in the end.
Siobhan Rawlins is best friends with the girlfriend of the band's lead singer and Dex has his eyes on her... but that is only what is on the surface. Peel back the layers and see the web of awesomeness that has been woven through the years. The journey for this pair has been much longer than anyone knows and when the full story is laid out for reader and characters alike will anyone survive the fallout?
The audiobook was beautifully performed by the extremely talented Thomas Locklear. His range of voices (including female POV!!!) are consistent throughout the whole story. It's like having a full cast audio play experience. You are just swept away by all the drama and emotions even when switching POVs between chapters. It's smooth and seamless and I love him for his talent at bringing books to life.
