Publisher's summary

In Ethrea, Rhian sits upon a precarious throne. Defiant dukes who won't accept her rule threaten the stability of her kingdom. Dexterity has been banished from her court in disgrace. The blue-haired slave Zandakar, the man she thought was her friend, has been revealed as the son of a woman sworn to destroy her world. And Rhian's husband, King Alasdair, is unsure of her love.

The trading nations refuse to believe Mijak is a threat and promise reprisals if she dares protect her realm. Only Emperor Han of mysterious Tzhung-tzhungchai knows that the danger from Mijak is real. But is he an ally or an enemy in disguise? As she struggles to learn the truth, and keep her embattled crown, the murderous warhost of Mijak advances.

amazing story, fantastic performance

I've read all three of these books a couple of times and this was my first time listening on audiobook. The performance was absolutely amazing. So very impressed, enough so that I've looked up more books that are performed by the same woman.

Cha! Three amazing books, one long story.

Did I think it was a good story? I think that I did. Dexterity Jones is one of my favorite characters, and I loved the end of his story. Enjoy.

Solid Finish To A Well Enjoyed Trilogy

What did you like best about this story?

I savored the return of heartwarming characters and the toil of familiar antagonists. I felt it was everything an ending should be. The characters remained true to themselves, even when acting unexpectedly or under pressure. It created a gem that could be appreciated from many angles. Just like the first two, it functions well as an audiobook. I could put it down and pick it up again without feeling lost in the plot. From book one to book three, the plot feels intentional. The trilogy could easily have been one thick tome (and I believe there are physical editions with all three combined). Each book in the series felt necessary and if you enjoyed the first two it's worth finishing with the third.

Loved all 3

Loved it. I've still got tears in my eyes. The narrator was amazing. I wish all narrators were this talented.

Enough already!

I enjoyed all off the story, I find the acting to be quiet good as well, but for the love of every good book out there spare us that war chant!! 2-3 time a chapter is ok but 9-10 times I don't care how good the voices were enough is enough!!
