This is book 4 in the series and it contains minor spoilers for the earlier books but it can be read as a standalone book as well.

The romance between Isaac and Phoebe is both sweet and challenging. Phoebe's past makes this anything but smooth sailing. I really enjoyed the depth int he characters and their quirks made them fun the read.

Beautifully written it made me laugh out loud and cry.

The narrator did a great job with the character voices and the delivery had a lovely natural sounding rhythm to it.

The more that I hear from Morgan Young and Sophie James the happier I am that I have discovered them. The books are fun, to the point and full of sexy scenes. Sophie James has the ability that only a few female narrators have – the ability to portray male characters with a husky and believable performance. Fantastic!

This book (as the others I've heard) does not require a lot of brain power. Sometimes that is just what the listener is in the mood for, sexy and naughty – ear candy. I mean that in a good way, though it does sound sort of gross!

Warning to those who want to avoid strong language and scenes of intimacy in the bedroom, in the hallway, in the backseat of a car, etc. :-)

Prepare Your Ears for a Naughty Escape

I did not read the books that came before this one and would love to find out what happened before. This is a stand-alone but would be much better if I had the others under my belt. There appear to be four or five brothers and a sister. All have returned home after their mother's illness and death. This is the sister's story. She has saved her money and bought a bar. Her love interest is a shy graduate student. He comes in with his lucky hat for weeks, sits and buys beers and just watches her until one day his sister visits and this causes the bar owner to have to come to the table and speak to him. The story moves on from there. There is some angst, some nastiness, lots of sex and falling in love. The ending is great. The narrator moved the story along and was good for the story. I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review.

Would you try another book from Morgan Young and/or Sophie James?

Yes. I have found myself enjoying this little series about the Banks. I enjoyed listening to Phoebe's story. Another book by this author that was narrated by Sophie James lead me to this one.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Maybe a little longer but it was still good at this length

Any additional comments?

I liked this story. Isaac was different than many heroes but that was refreshing. He was a little too sensitive but I guess the author used that as a tool to show how much younger he was than Phoebe and how he wasn't her usual type. I liked Phoebe. She was tough and independent but she still didn't think she was good enough for Isaac. I really liked the conflict and resolution to this one. I would enjoy more work by this author and narrator.

This was a shorter love story- Great characters- I have enjoyed the other books in this series as well, I would have loved to read more on these characters.

Narration was great- no complaints at all on the narration or production.

I really enjoyed this story. It pulled me in and had me rooting for the couple to make it from the start. I can’t wait to check out the other books in this series. This is the 4th book but, it’s a stand alone. I’ve not listened to the others and had no problem connecting to the characters or following along; in fact, I enjoyed the characters and book so much, I intend to listen to this book again after I’ve listened to books 1-3. The narration is fabulous. Sophie James did an amazing job giving each character a unique voice. I look forward to listening to more of her work. I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.
