I gave the story three stars as I guessed the villains' almost at once. The cast of characters is coming together nicely, overall an enjoyable group of people. There was less of Ruth in this one, and hopefully, will be rarely mentioned in the future. I am looking forward to book three.

This spinoff is coming into it's own

After the first book in this new series I was afraid that Ruth Urquhart might not be the right voice for Gordy but she has certainly hit her stride in this second installment! She has done an excellent job of bringing all of the characters to life and making Somerset feel like Gordy's new home.

This series seems to be a bit darker than the Grimm series but I like it. Another great story from David J. Gatward!!

Excellent!

Nail bitting with a good story, Gordy also happens to be my favorite! I enjoy Ruth as the narrator for this series as well. I am looking forward to book 3.

Enjoyed Book 2

David Gatward's stories are so very descriptive. Gordy's feelings are so true for anyone having muddled through with loss and trauma. This is one for repeated readings and listening.
