About this listen

Things are going well for Roland Greene. High school is behind him, he has a sweet new ride, a good job, and he's making plans for his future. At 18, he's one of the strongest werewolves in his pack, and he already has more vampire kills than most wolves have in a lifetime. Life is good. Almost.

It's time for the annual pack gathering. Wolves from all over Maine come to take care of pack business and socialize - and to find mates. Everywhere Roland turns there are unmated females, and as the Alpha's nephew, he's prime mate material. The last thing he wants right now is a mate, and he'll do all he can to stay a free wolf.

Until he meets her.

I love this series.

I can't wait to hear about the rest of the group. Their world is captivating.

Not The Book I Was Expecting

I have to say I wasn't thrilled when I saw this was the story Karen Lynch chose to tell next. First, I was apathetic about Roland. I mean next to Jordan and Chris he was boring, little more than a side kick. And there is a reason why there will never be a Robin movie. Nobody cares about the side kick's depth of character. They are window dressing. A gateway for dialogue. If she had never written his story, I wouldn't have missed it. Secondly, the best scenario I could come up with was him being torn between a human and another wolf, and I HATE HATE HATE love triangles. But it is Zachary Webber (*sigh*) so of course I gave in. And (wait for it... because this doesn’t happen often) I was wrong – on all accounts. No love triangle. Roland is an interesting person. And this book completely deserves to be a part of this series.

Great Series. Action and love packed.

Strong feminine characters. Great action. Love wins. There's so many misunderstandings in the world because people don't communicate.

A Slow Burn

I thought this book was well written as well as well narrated. However if you were looking for a book about insta love this is not it. This book is a slow burning love story. Though the characters were very well written I wish they had gotten together much sooner.

Good book with great narration

This was a good stand alone story bringing together characters from the previous books in the series. I liked Roland and Emma and the relationship that developed between them. Another bonus was that there was no cliffhanger.

Roland’s Story

In this book we learn more of Roland’s story and the way of pack life. Roland has grown up significantly in the few months since his return home and grows up even more throughout this book. You’ll also learn more of Emma’s past and the struggles she faces on a daily basis trying to cope with her past. This is a nice extension to the trilogy, and the dual narrative is awesome!

Sucker for a good love story

I admittedly am obsessed with this series. I am a sucker for a good love story and this one has what it takes to fall into that category. Is it a little cheesy at times, absolutely, but my stomach takes the highs and lows with the characters as if I am actually part of the story. The readers lure you in with their voices and you are convinced to stay by the story line. I have yet to be disappointed by any of the books in this series so keep them coming!
