Publisher's summary

Home is where the heart is.

Architect Morgan Dane has always lived according to a plan, crossing off her achievements one by one. But when she’s offered her dream job - the restoration of historic Angels Landing Plantation on beautiful Cavanaugh Island - Morgan’s life takes an unexpected turn.

Carpenter Nathaniel Shaw once took a big chance on commitment - and lost. Needing the healing comforts of home, he returns to Haven Creek to join the family business. Nothing in the small town has changed - except for Morgan Dane. The wallflower he knew in high school has grown into a beautiful woman, and she’s suddenly stirring feelings Nate isn’t sure he’s ready for.

Together Nate and Morgan find a happiness neither could have predicted. But when secrets from the past come to light, their budding relationship is threatened. Will they play it safe or risk their hearts to build a life together?

Horrible Narrator

Joy Hooper's performance ruined this story for me. She paused when she should not have and failed to when she should have. She also lacked passion and feeling in her narration. I was truly disappointed and will not select another book that she is narrating.

excellent book

the writer is excellent and has amazing stories. however listening to this book was the worst. the narrator was so dull and boring as a rock. She did not bring life to the characters they all sounded the same. Great books like what this author writes needs someone that could pull you into the story. This narrator failed miserable.

Romantic!

The narrator’s voice wasn’t as appealing, but the story was sweet. Very descriptive to the point that Cavenaugh Island is on my must see list.

Aggravated!

The first 2 books were better than this one. This one was exhausting.... too much back and forth. And, the narrator needs more practice.

Terrible Narrator

I liked the story OK but it did drag on longer than needed. The narrator was awful and took away from the story. It sounded like she was reading the actual book and pausing (as if there was a comma or other punctuation) at the end of each typed lane on the page, even when it was clearly in the middle of a thought, or sentence or phrase.
