About this listen
Michelle Evers has since put the event behind her and moved on to a new life in a new town. She has made friends and enjoys an exciting job as a Sheriff's deputy in the resort town of Hawthorn Lake. But just as she begins to settle in, mysterious events that eerily resemble her past experiences start to unfold.
Michelle soon discovers that the sheriff and his close friend, Troy Turner, harbor a dark secret that could devastate the tourist-driven town. Michelle is forced to make a decision that could thrust her back into the nightmare that has haunted her for so long and push her to the edge of sanity.
Should she face her greatest fears and confront the evil that keeps her awake at night, or should she run and try to start over again somewhere else? Will she survive a second encounter, or will this be a fatal mistake?

Story
Drew Peters heads into the woods of the Upper Peninsula to hunt, like he does every November. Nothing out of the ordinary has ever happened. The other guys would agree that the hunt itself is the most exciting aspect. That, and getting away from their wives or kids for a little while. Eating some venison is proof that all that travel and patience behind their guns has truly paid off. But this time, something is different. Maybe it's the way the shadows fall in the forest surrounding their camp, or the smell just barely noticeable on the wind. A smell like garbage and something rotting mixed...

About the book: sophomoric writing and needs a professional editor. But it’s not bad and I will read/listen to their other books since I enjoy cryptid nonsense. I bet it’s a better read than it was an audiobook.
Note to author: there are no brown or grizzly bears in Colorado. Not for a long time. Just black bears. I find that an important error in books about Sasquatch.
Ai readers suck to listen to.
