Short but Beutiful!

This novella gives you a wonderful sneak peak into the Darkwood and the magic of the world of the series. It gives you a more of a taste of the fae world which you got to see a bit of in the first book but it expands on it. It's great.

A short listen, but great for relaxing.

The Heart of the Forest is a novella in the Darkwood Chronicles series by Anthea Sharp. But I feel like it stands alone pretty well.

It's a typical fantasy romance. A young prince Kent is in love with his brother's fiancé so he sets off into the dark woods to find a white hart so it will grant his heart's desire.

A seasoned fantasy reader can guess where this story will end up.

But the story's predictability doesn't make it any less enjoyable. I mean it is really short, should only take you about an hour to read it. A little over an hour if you listen to the audiobook.

The Two main characters are really sweet, and there's a dragon.

Narrator Amy Landon has a beautiful voice. Her soft vocals make this short story a nice pick for when you need something to help you relax.

This was a great quick listen that offered all of the enchanting excitement I’ve grown to expect from Anthea sharp. I can’t wait for more to be released. I love fairy tales, and this mix of adventure and magic was exciting the whole way through.

Terrific story, we'll read.

A tale of discovery on many levels. Sometimes you can't realize what you desire most until you come face to face with it.

Short Story Elfhame

Just enough storyline to get me hooked, but not long enough. Looking forward to the second book to see if it will keep me interested. So far so good.

Hero is a jerk and why did they fall in love?

Hero is kind of an incel. He’s loves someone so she HAS to love him and even if she picked someone else, he is going to FORCE her to love him through magic. Then he chases down a deer in hopes of forcing that creature to his will of forcing his “love” to his will as well. Then suddenly the hero and the heroine love each other and are staying together for ever? On what basis? I really loved the Darkwood Trilogy about Rose and Neeve but if I’d started with this book, I never would have read them.
