About this listen

From USA Today best-selling author W. Winters comes an emotionally captivating and thrilling, romantic tale of suspense.

At first, his words were harsh and his touch cold.
I knew he was a dangerous man and he could destroy me if only he wanted to.

That’s not what he wanted though. It’s not what he needed.
It’s not what I desired either.

It’s so easy to get lost in the touch of a man who’s powerful and unattainable.
A man who wants for nothing...except me.
Soft touches and stolen glances made my blood heat and my heart beat in a way I never knew it could.

Yes, it’s easy to fall into a haze of lust and desire.
But there’s a reason his reputation is one of a heartless man.
And I should have known better.

Cliffhanger alert

Ugh, I honestly dislike cliffhangers, but they get me every time. I was once again wrapped up in the Aria and Carter world, and rooting for their relationship while trying to reason with the idea that people are going to die. The ending is what I expected...and I wouldn't want it any other way. I'm eager to jump into the next book to see where this course of action takes us. Carter and Aria are nothing but distruction and I'm happy to be reading and watching their lives unfold.

Exciting ending

This book wasn’t quite as good as the first one. With only one setting and limited characters, it dragged a little bit. It is still a good story, and worth a credit. I love both the narrator’s voices.

I am shredded

Willow Winters knows exactly how to reach into the depths and squeeze every feeling possible. The love, doubt, helplessness, and betrayal oozes from every sentence. Savannah Peachwood and Jacob Morgan reach beyond the stars with their portrayals.

Heartless

This book was exciting and surprising! another major cliffhanger ending, that I hate, but I already have the next book so it isn't so bad.

Loyalisa30

Willow Winters does not disappoint with the continuation of Aria and Carter’s story. I’m so very, very frustrated with Aria’s wishy-washy emotions of loving and hating Carter. One minute she’s begging to stay with him and the next pleading to be locked away from him! Carter’s demons also give me whiplash with his callousness one moment to his inability to deny her what she wants the next! (Can we say Stockholm Syndrome please!) Jacob Morgan and Savannah Peachwood hit it out of the park again with their phenomenal narration.

So Torturously Good

OMG! Willow Winter definitely raises the stakes with Heartless. It is hot, twisted, dark, and beautiful all at the same time. I loved seeing Carter transform after being around Aria. I can't help but getting sweet satisfaction out the fact that she loves to hate Carter. Things get crazy in this book. I just loved it. From beginning to end, it was so deliciously good.

The narration is utter perfection. Listening to this as an audiobook makes this book that much better. The story is a five star all on it's own; add in Savannah and Jacob's amazing narration and I was in love. I will probably listen to the audiobook of this series again. It is an all around winner.

Suspense and heartbreak

I love this series and find it hard to stop listening to. So much suspense with Aria and Carter. Aria has feelings for Carter but will ot stop fighting for her family. Aria was able to take some control at the end of the last book and throughout this book. She seems to really cling to Carter in this book and does not do well when he is away. The end broke my heart for Aria. She has tried to plead and beg Carter to spare her family but he is not able to. so she did what she had to but Carter can't see that he tried to make an impossible choice. I love Jacob Morgan. Such a fabulous narrator. I personally love Savannah Peachwood narrating. I feel she brings the perfect amount of emotion to Aria characters.
