About this listen

Naima:

Lord, who crashes a stranger’s wedding and ends up spending a hot night with a secret billionaire? That'd be me. I blame my bestie, Simone. She dragged me along to her gig, and I slammed straight into Alexander, whose eyes—one green, one half-hazel—held promises even stars couldn’t keep.

But a crash later, and not the wedding kind, wiped my slate clean. No memories of him, just a lingering ache for what might’ve been and, nine months later, a little girl with his same two-toned eyes.

That should have been the end of it, but life has a way of coming back around to bite you.

Alexander:

Seeing her across that crowded ballroom, I knew Naima was something special. I wanted her. We danced, we laughed, and for a night, we were everything to each other.

But just as suddenly as she appeared, she vanished. Not a trace, not a call. Five years of wondering, five years of 'what if?' Until one day, she waltzes into my company as a contract employee. She acts like she doesn’t know me, but I see the photograph of a little girl on her desk. A little girl with my eyes.

I won’t give Naima the satisfaction of knowing how much she hurt me until I find out the truth. Why did she ghost? How could she keep our daughter a secret?

Yet, despite my rage, more than answers, I still want her.

Her Forgotten Billionaire is an BWWM Second Chance Secret Baby (so Secret Baby even Naima doesn’t know who the dad is) billionaire interracial romance with humor, hotness, and a touch of danger to keep you turning those pages into the wee hours. No cheating, HEA guaranteed.

Worse AI Narration

Good story line but the AI was robotic, no voice changes. Fake emotions. Plot was good.

the horrible narration.

I was distracted by the voice that I couldn't connect to the story. there's no depth of emotion in the narration. I tried 2 books with the same results.

I don't like virtual voice!

The story was interesting and believable. There was no emotion, names were mispronounced or pronounced differently from one chapter to the next.

Did not like the virtual voice

I really enjoyed the story overall. The virtual voice was weird, the inflection and cadence was wrong.

Good Book, Narrator Sucks

Enjoyed the story. I don’t like the AI Narrative. Words are not properly pronounced, no feeling or emotion takes away from the experience.

Virtual Voice BLLEEGGHH

The story was fine. The virtual voice kept speaking in garbled tone and you could not understand it. I am not a fan of this virtual voice with no inflection. I takes the umph out of the stories.

Good Story, Narration, not that good

I am to the end of this book and I was hoping that the narration would have gotten better throughout my listening. I want to finish it but again the narration is not good. I know it's A.I narration, the voice never changes from male to female, I mean it doesn't deepen when the male character is talking. It seems to have no emotions at all. If the book didn't let you know what character is talking, you wouldn't know, it doesn't change, it's almost like reading a dictionary. I enjoy audible books because I can do so much while listening to them (cleaning, driving relaxing, cooking, etc.) and the audible books I have read in the past, the narrator adds emphasis, and emotions, I can pretty much visualize what it happening and put myself in the book. I cannot with this book. I am going to finish it because I want to know the outcome, I just hope A.I. narration is not going to be a permanent thing. I enjoy real people narration

Great story. Not sure about the narration

Even though I really enjoyed the story I didn’t care for the narration. I hope this isn’t the future of audiobooks. A regular narrator can bring the emotions needed to bring the story to life.

good story

overall it was a pretty good book. it felt like it went from a human narrator in some places to an AI generated voice. that was a little annoying.
