About this listen
This book explores who we are, where we came from, and where we're going by studying humanity's myths, parables, and symbols which may hold the needed clues. It will delve into old, arcane knowledge, or hermetic philosophy, and explain how it is applied to the world around us as well as to the end-times scriptures of Christianity.
This book seeks to create a holistic view which can answer life's mysteries such as who are aliens, giants, demons, watchers, and fallen angels and how have they influenced humans across time and culture. By reviewing the myths of ancient Egypt, Babylon, Greece, and Rome, insights can be gleaned, which can then be compared to the Judeo-Christian tradition, yielding some interesting observations.
This book also gives the probable dates for the start and end of this age, while revealing the mystery of such numbers as 17, 33, and 42. Listen to find out where this is all going, what must occur, and when the Messiah may return.

Story
In layered prose and with thoughtful, accessible scholarship, Aslan narrates the history of religion as one long and remarkably cohesive attempt to understand the divine by giving it human traits and emotions. According to Aslan, this innate desire to humanize God is hardwired in our brains, making it a central feature of nearly every religious tradition. As Aslan writes, "Whether we are aware of it or not, and regardless if we are believers or not, what the vast majority of us think about when we think about God is a divine version of ourselves."

Many Christians who claim to believe that the Bible is God's revealed truth seem willing to allow modern scientific theories to replace the Genesis account of creation. Such compromises present a conspicuous danger. Bible teacher and pastor John MacArthur believes that in Genesis 1-3 we find the foundation of every doctrine that is essential to the Christian faith - the vital underpinnings for everything we believe.

The book also includes lengthy appendices on the ancient debate on the inspiration of the book of 1 Enoch, New Testament allusions to the book, and academic resources.

Story
Given the abundance of funerary artifacts that have been found within the sands of Egypt, it sometimes seems as though the Ancient Egyptians were more concerned with the matters of the afterlife than they were with matters of the life they experienced from day to day. This is underscored most prominently by the pyramids, which have captured the world’s imagination for centuries.

Story
The co-editors of Gnosis magazine explore the many esoteric traditions that Western culture has to offer. While terms from Eastern spiritual practices such as Zen, mantra, and karma have become part of our daily lexicon, the traditions of Western spirituality have been largely unexplored by people searching for non-mainstream routes to spiritual experience. But for those who identify with Western culture, Western religious traditions have their own wisdom teachings that are more suitable to their needs and expectations.
