Story
Lock is awkward. He can't make eye contact, counts when he's nervous, and has to remind himself several times a day how "normal" teens behave. Homeschooled most of his life, he's resigned himself to a friendless existence at his new Atlanta high school. Until he meets West. West has everything. Looks. Talent. Money. And secrets...so many secrets. Beneath the surface of West's perfect existence is a pain he's buried so deep a million therapists couldn't unearth it, and he's determined to keep it that way. He's an actor. He can act normal. But then there's Lock.

Story
Micah is rich, dreamy, and charming. As the “Prince of Chicago”—the son of local celebrity sports radio host known as the King of Chicago—he has everything going for him. Unfortunately, he’s also the prince of imaginary meet-cutes, since he’s too nervous to actually ask boys out. Instead, Micah draws each crush to share on Instagram with a post about their imaginary dates. Ninety-nine “boyfriends” later, his account is hugely popular, and everyone is eagerly awaiting Boy 100. So is Micah. This time, Micah will sweep the boy off his feet, for real!

Adorable coming-of-age and coming out story!
I bought and read this book as a massive fan of the author. I knew I’d love it before it was available. The characters are so likeable a relatable, the storyline is journey. Multiple times I wanted to find a young Adam/Cameron/Finn and hug him. I really hope this book reaches so many young people trying to find themselves and navigate the treacherous teenage/young adult years and find comfort in knowing they are not alone. Congrats on your first novel, Adam! You knocked it out of Centre Parks! ;-)

I really appreciated the sweetness and kindness of the story - a refreshing retreat from the negativity of the US.
Adam weaves a lot of himself into his book, and he is a very talented writer. His story of Cameron really lets his readers know that first love is the same no matter who you are. I loved it.
