Publisher's summary

I live in a world where secrecy reigns—a society rooted in power, wealth, and long-held dynasties, where men are kings, and women are pawns. For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamt of escaping the shackles of my expectations, but it can only ever be a dream. I made a fatal mistake, and those shackles became a cage. Now, I’m trapped in a war with a man who controls my every move.

He’s my brother’s best friend. My enemy, my tormentor, and my solace. His words have the power to wound me. His touch just might break me. But this is his kingdom, and as long as I’m here, I only have one choice: I’ll play by his rules.

Um wow!

Oh my gosh! That ending was intense! I was blown away by this book! This book is definitely way darker than the previous trilogy so be warned before going in. There are some triggers for people. But I liked this one a lot! I wasn’t too crazy about Judge in the previous books, or Mercedes for that matter but in this one you get a way different view of her and I liked it.

Love the evolution of this story!

I loved Mercedes and Judge’s story most especially their ending. My only complaint is that the male narrator read like Captain Kirk and his attempt to give Santiago an accent despite the fact that he never had one in previous stories was annoying as well. His pronunciation needs work too. However I thought the female narrator did a fantastic job. I’m glad I got this trilogy and finally got to know Mercedes better, actually found her likable despite my previous impression of her, and was happy she finally had her own story.

Merceds finally got what she deserves

I suggest you listen to the books about Santiago and ivy first, if you don’t you may think Mercedes’ punishment are very harsh, but they aren’t. Can’t wait for the other books to come out to audio. I’m hoping Mercedes’ get her happy ending!

Woooooooooooooow!

This is so good. You’ve got to read the previous books to totally grasp what Mercedes has done. You can jump straight into this if you’d like, but you wouldn’t understand why she has all this coming to her.
Narrators are great. The book is good all the way through. To the author…The ending! How dare you! 😉

Review of the trilogy

His Rule 4 ⭐️
Her Rebellion 4 ⭐️
Their Reign 5⭐️

After being banished by her brother (rightfully so) Mercedes goes to live with Judge who is to carry out her punishment vs the tribune. Judge is very dominate and likes to carry out “punishments “. Mercedes is a little bratty at times and the girl can get herself into every wrong situation. She ends up hurt multiple times while in Judges care. Judge though I love him. He is so loyal and caring deep down. I feel like this would have been a 5 star series for me if it was a duet. Both MCs have to deal with their brothers and work on their relationships or lack thereof with them.

Narration was amazing!

Loved loved loved!

I really loved this book ^ …. Although some of the stupid things drove me mad thru the book like how the lack of communication keeps burying the female lead in her own mess is infuriating it was fantastic at the same time! 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I HAPPILY BINGE-LISTENED MY WAY THRU THE LOT

Knowing the nasty cliffhangers these two talented authors like to weave and leave you dangaling on, I knew I had to wait until all three books in this trilogy were out. And I’m so glad I did because the seamless flow meant I could binge-listen and get lost in Mercedes and Judge’s very addictive turbulent push ‘n pull rollercoaster romance. Plus, I love these all powerful privileged dark alpha Sovereign Sons with their dominant rules, possessiveness and jealousy and their twisted barbaric ownership mark ceremonies.

Here, disgraced Sovereign virgin Daughter Mercedes, finds herself punished by one of them.. Judge, her brother’s best friend who is tasked with her imprisonment and punishment after her selfish actions forced their hand. However, the chemistry sizzled between captive and jailer and their dysfunctional fire and ice friction and attraction sparked a forbidden awakening. But secrets, manipulations, distrust and much.. much.. much more litter their doomed emotional relationship. He was stubborn.. but she was sneaky. And, as well as the broken rules of the IVI Society, there’s also vengeful enemies, death threats and an estranged brother with a grudge. There's bitter angst and drama which also brings climactic tension, turmoil and nail biting bloody suspense.

Worth a credit? It’s three for this well narrated dual POV trilogy.. and yes yes yes, credits well spent.
