About this listen

Texas is booming. In recent years, the Lone Star State has experienced some of the most rapid growth in the country, both in its economy and in its population. This is thanks to an influx of businesses relocating to Texas to take advantage of all its benefits. But this increase in population has also brought about a shift in the political dialogue within Texas's borders.

As more people pour into Texas, they bring with them liberal and socialist ideologies as they try to swing the state from red to blue. These plans for changing policies will suffocate the highly successful capitalist state and its residents, and according to Lt. Col. Allen West (Ret.), allowing these liberal ideals to creep into the legislative branch will be the death of Texas. In Hold Texas, Hold the Nation: Victory or Death, West explains how the longstanding conservative capitalist policies within the state's government have allowed it to flourish over the years, providing hard-to-ignore evidence and allowing his experience in Congress to support his argument. He makes his stand, asserting that Texas must hold fast to its conservative ways and resist succumbing to liberal mindsets, or else cease to prosper, and begin to perish.

Texas is a sustaining force for America, truly embodying the founding principles of America: those unalienable individual rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In Texas, it's ''Victory or Death'.'

God bless Texas

What a great book! This audiobook was so good that I bought a copy for my parents and nephew to read. As a Native Texan, I appreciate the history lesson Mr. Allen West presents and the comparison between California and Texas' roots in the Republic. Mr. West explains the political details in laymen's terms and includes his own sense of humor.

This has made me love my state even more. Even if you're not from Texas or the South, you will appreciate the home-grown common sense and honesty of this book.

A call to action for Texas and the Nation

Allen West does a superb job of comparing and contrasting progressive socialism with conservatism in the US. He makes a compelling case for the success of conservative principles and the abject failure of the progressive socialist obverse. His case studies and statistics are telling and demonstrative. This is a well-reasoned, articulate and compelling call to action. He was a great pick to run the Texas RNC and I look forward to a future presidential bid. Read this if you want to understand where this country is going and where we will end up if we do nothing.

A Cautionary Texas Tale

This is a cautionary true story about what is going on in Texas (and many other red States). Many are migrating there for its business growth friendly environment they don't have in states such as California and New York.

It's not an opinion. The story is backed up by numerous facts and statistics.

I hope not only Texans but all conservative Americans take heed of this warning. We do need to hold Texas so we can hold the nation.

I know LTC West will do everything he can to hold Texas.

Former Californian

I appreciated the comparison To California and can verify the truth expressed. I would not want to see Texas go the way of California.

Don’t California my Texas

Great read on understanding why CA taxes are so high and companies are leaving to Texas. Keep Texas Red.

Great book, as a lifelong Texan...

And someone who loves Texas history I surprisingly learned a few things. Thanks Lt. Col. West.

Texas and Texans Will Never Give Up!

Allen moves to Texas and has fallen in love with us.
His details of those leaving democratic states with high taxes and more regulations that benefit the politicians and not the people they are supposed to represent build a strong reason why we have such an influx of pilgrims.
They come because of our freedoms and forget to leave their liberal ways in those states for those who revel in them.
We need to greet them to Texas and educate them on ways to keep Texas as it is.

Great read

I enjoyed myself reading this book, and got a lesson in history as well! Real history not the revisionist kind. Makes me more proud that I am a conservative naturalised Asian-American. More power to you.
