Publisher's summary

It's been months since Laurel left her home and family to escape her destiny - a destiny that has her giving birth to a demigod. She's getting by with the help of Aurore, a Titaness with a dangerous secret of her own, who becomes charged with Laurel's protection. One day, when Laurel accidentally meets the now cold-blooded Sampson, she knows she has lost his love for good.

And when she learns the ugly truth about her mother's death, she never again wants to have anything to do with the Olympians, resigning herself to a future in safety among the Titans. Only when she finds out that the Keepers will stop at nothing to get her back, and that her family is in immediate danger, she returns to Sooke where the son of darkness is waiting for her - and he is determined to fulfill his and Laurel's destiny.

captivating but needs more work on

taking into consideration the today level of romance books, this book is a masterpiece. it reminds me of twilight and harry potter... but it needs a bit of more work. there is no spoiler alert but the heroine do needs to prioritise her actions when planning to go on a rescue mission. the story needs more work on but is a great book to listen to when driving or doing chores in the house.ill buy the 3rd one just to conclude the story. i recommend it.

How is this a 4.8?

Read my reviews from the other two books in the series. Unlike the author, I don’t feel the need to repeat myself over, and over, and over again.

Drags a little

I’m invested at this point after listening to the first book and now the second, I’m a little surprised it’s so highly rated.. it just drags for me. Maybe it’s more meant for a highschooler?
