About this listen

There are secrets buried inside of me.

From scars I don't remember getting to memories that creep at the edges of my mind, I know there are answers just out of my reach.

I'm missing something. Something important.

I thought the Sinners had my back, but am I right about that? Or, are they just playing me again?

Among the privileged elite of Hawthorne University, not knowing who to trust can be deadly. Because, with every scrap of my memory that comes back, I become more and more sure of three things:

  • Someone at this school wants me gone.
  • Someone at this school hates me.
  • Someone at this school is afraid of me.

And you know what?

They should be afraid.

This is the second book in the Sinners of Hawthorne University series, a new adult bully romance. It contains violence, dark subject matter, and high steam. The main character will end up with multiple men.

Where is book 3?!

I liked this book better than the first. Questions get answered and things make more sense. I love how more things are revealed the more she regains her memories

Uniting in strife

The heroine and her guys form a united front after some initial strife. The story then takes off to include attempting to uncover mysterious events targeting the heroine. The story also becomes and nicely stays very steamy. A voice performance continues by the actor whose infusion of (or if natural) sultry tones often worked for the heroine, but seemed dissonant to the acting of the male characters. This story would have been better served as a duet narration, or if not dual narration. The story lost a bit of momentum as, since the events ending book one and onto part two, it is no longer a bully romance. It seemed uplifted by great intrigue at the beginning and at the end, but somewhat flat in the middle. There was not enough intrigue or conflict or other events that would bolster the story past just the steamy love scenes. Still, entertaining and worth listening to if you're into this story.

Keeps you guessing...

Ah book 2. So many things happen in this book that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Who pushed Sophie down the stairs? Keep listening because the end of this book will absolutely amaze you!!! I can't wait until Book 3 is released.

Part missing!

Love the story & the author! But there are like two pages missing at the start of chapter 22! I was following in my book and thought I was crazy but nope.

Entertaining But Not As Good As The 1st Book

A decent second book. Wish the 3rd book was on Audible. I guess I’ll get to the last book when I have time to read it.

Okay, so my feelings about the RH vibe is still up in the air. I liked that we got to know Declan more. He’s my favorite. But we literally know nothing about Elias other than he has rich parents and he tore his ACL, which stopped him from going pro. And... I’ll give you one guess who she has over-the-top feelings for. Yep, you guessed it — Grey! The feelings that she feels for him knocks everyone else out of the running. It’s just hard to imagine them all together. If I were Elias or Declan, I’d be jealous as hell because she obviously has a favorite. Call me picky, but it really bothers me.

Also, instead of being the badass she was in the 1st book, Sophie’s whiny internal dialogue about Grey become overly irritating and had me speeding up the pace to get through her pity party. Additionally, she never has thoughts like that about Elias or Declan. There’s still plot holes that have never been answered, and at this point, I think they’ve been forgotten completely and will never be tied up.

The ending is interesting and came out of left field, but this ain’t my ride. So, lead the way, Ms. Ashwood. Hope you got some fun up your sleeve, cuz I’m here for the duration. :)
