Story
There is a gospel older than Christianity, older than Buddhism, older than Brahmanism, older than the classic religions of Greece and Rome, older than the worship of idols and the worship of ancestors. The Gospel to which I allude is the Gospel of the Return to Nature. In every generation of the world's history since man was civilized, the realization of this state has been the dream of a few idealists who saw it existing in the far distant past of the world's history in an allegorical form as the fabled Golden Age sung of by the poets.

Gaius Musonius Rufus was a Roman Stoic philosopher of the first century AD. He has been referred to as the Roman Socrates and is also remembered for being the teacher of Epictetus. He taught philosophy in Rome during the reign of Nero and so was sent into exile in 65 AD, returning to Rome only under Galba. Story
De Brevitate Vitae (frequently referred to as On the Shortness of Life in English) is a moral essay written by Seneca the Younger, a Roman Stoic philosopher, to his father-in-law Paulinus. The philosopher brings up many Stoic principles on the nature of time, namely that men waste much of it in meaningless pursuits. According to the essay, nature gives man enough time to do what is really important and the individual must allot it properly.

Story
The dramatic nature of Plato's dialogues is delightfully evident in Symposium. The marriage between character and thought bursts forth as the guests gather at Agathon's house to celebrate the success of his first tragedy. With wit and insight, they all present their ideas about love - from Erixymachus' scientific naturalism to Aristophanes' comic fantasy. The unexpected arrival of Alcibiades breaks the spell cast by Diotima's ethereal climb up the staircase of love to beauty itself.

Interesting Listen
I found the Richest Man in Babylon story very interesting. The second book regarding the science of getting rich was a little boring. The audio was easy on the ears. She has a pleasant reading voice.

Timeless wisdom well narrated
The Richest Man in Babylon and The Science of Getting Rich have stood the test of time as the most influential and informative books about making money. Personally I love the Richest Man because of the parables that put personal finance advice into real world (albeit ancient) scenarios. The Science of Getting Rich reminds readers that their mindset is directly correlated to their ability to earn riches. I found the narrator to be articulate with the appropriate amount of enthusiasm for the subject matter.

Classic books well narrated
I've read these books before and will continue to come back for the classic advice on personal finance.
I really enjoyed the narrator's voice and thought she was appropriately animated to bring these stories to life. I hadn't heard a female (sounding) voice narrate these books before and I absolutely loved the bright and articulate tone of this set.

Not Really About Getting Rich
Perhaps it's just me, but I didn't see how the first book in this two-book set had much to do with getting rich, what this series is supposed to be about. Instead, it felt more like, at first, a history of Babylon—and a rather dry one at that!—and then it just told the story of a real (or imagined) “richest man in Babylon. It took too long of a time for this audiobook to truly get to anything remotely actionable or even interesting. I believe, though I am uncertain, that both these books are in the public domain, so they can be combined and republished together by anyone, so long as they include some original content. Frankly, I don't even remember what this might have been after my hours of listening. It was that unremarkable. Unless you specifically want to listen to these two books, give this book bundle a hard pass.
