From Wall Street Journal best-selling authors Brian Shea and Ty Hutchinson
Women from the American heartland are being abducted, caged, and murdered. And FBI Agent Sterling Gray is racing to catch the killer.
But when a similar incident occurs halfway around the world, Sterling’s investigation is turned on its head.
After several missing university students turn up dead in Iowa’s cornfields, the police turn to FBI Special Agent Sterling Gray, a rising star at the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit. After painstaking investigative work, Gray thought they had identified the killer.
But when Interpol suddenly contacts him about a similar investigation in London, the case takes a shocking turn.
Now Gray must follow the chilling trail of a killer known only as the Mirror Man. A cunning and blackhearted criminal who is terrorizing the city of London. To catch him, Gray must get inside the killer’s twisted mind—without losing himself in the process....
Join Special Agent Sterling Gray as he chases the Mirror Man in this riveting new FBI profiler series that will keep you guessing until the very end.

This first installment in the new Sterling Gray series by Brian Shea and Ty Hutchinson is an action-packed roller-coaster ride. It was interesting to see how the authors developed Sterling’s backstory as they moved the serial killer story along in an unpredictable fashion. While Sterling is an accomplished Profiler, he has the unenviable tendency to get on the wrong side of his FBI Supervisor, not to mention tank his personal life. If this book is any predictor of this series, I’m looking forward to the next episode to see how Sterling succeeds or not in the previously mentioned areas. I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and chose to provide my review.
Action-packed new series.

Story was a bit weak

I really like Brian Shea. I have everything he’s written in my library including his two series (Boston Crime Thriller and Nick Lawrence series) as well as the Rachel Hatch series that he coauthors with L T Ryan.
My heart was in my throat. Somewhere around chapter 17 one almost victim runs out of the killers house just as the police and FBI Agent Sterling Gray pull into his driveway. But this is only the beginning. Soon after similar murders begin taking place in the UK. Again a victim gets away. Unfortunately the killer gets away also. DNA tests have startling results…
This book has a good bit of predictability but I didn’t feel like that took away from it’s entertainment value.
Jonathan Beville does an exceptional job narrating.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

RIDICULOUS PLOT
UNREALISTIC WITH NOTHING TO PONDER
NOT IN THE LEAST BIT EXCITING
NARRATOR DRAB
I kept thinking about my grocery list as this played. In this book you will immediately be introduced to the antagonist. Grey will immediately guess some ridiculous scenario and be correct. Women will be saved (even the poor poor weak female agents) and it will end leaving you thinking about that utility bill you need to pay.
IQ 50 and above need not apply.
No Audible. I did not enjoy this book.
