About this listen

A group of bridesmaids bring chaos to Cypress Grove and inn owner Amelia Matthews must tap into her psychic prowess to solve a spooktacular mystery!

When a group of wild bridesmaids descend on Cypress Grove for a spirited October weekend at the Crescent Moon Inn, owner Amelia Matthews comes prepared with champagne, plans for a spooky swamp walk, and a bottomless well of patience.

But the festivities take a spine-tingling twist when one bridesmaid vanishes during the haunted jaunt and emerges in a less-than-ideal state. Murder wasn't on Amelia's agenda for the inn's grand re-opening. Suddenly, suspicion blankets the group. Armed with newfound psychic powers, Amelia believes she can crack the case.

Despite the sheriff's stern warnings, Amelia's resolve to uncover the truth stands firm. She rallies her eccentric crew of amateur sleuths, including a mystical shop owner, a cowgirl-witch, a history professor, and a feline sidekick, Freddie Purrcury.

As Amelia delves deeper into the case, she uncovers the deceased bridesmaid's competitive streak as a possible motive. Now, it's not just the bridesmaids on the line; Amelia's own safety hangs in the balance. Can her psychic talents unravel this enigma, or will she meet her expiration date before Halloween?

Amelia is settling into her new role as an innkeeper and is hosting the ladies from a bridal party for a bachelorette weekend. She joins up with another innkeeper, who is also hosting a bachelorette group, for a haunted swamp walk. During the walk, which has actors along the route, one of Amelia guests is murdered. Amelia must use her skills in psychometry and being able to speak to ghosts to find the killer and to save her reputation.
Another great book in the series. Love the audio performance.

The narrator did an amazing job. Amelia and Oliver are adorable, and I can't wait to see where their attraction takes them. A murder to solve, a ghost to help out, a potential romance and a bride, her bridesmaids (one was just awful), and a groom (I didn't like) are just the beginning of the story. Loved "riding" along with Amelia and Oliver as they try to solve the mystery. Lots more for her and the reader to discover in her new town. When all is revealed, I was a little surprised.

I enjoyed this second visit with Amelia and her quirky friends. They make me smile. Amelia's powers continue to evolve, and I still find her "gift" intriguing. The mystery has enough twists, turns, and suspects to engage readers, and the whole ghost in the lake scenario was particularly entertaining. I do hope she returns in future books. This is a great choice for readers looking for an entertaining read with a paranormal twist, fun and quirky characters, and a good mystery. I look forward to the next visit with Amelia and friends.

Anna Maste does an excellent job voicing the characters.

Entertaining Read

The second book in this series was much better than the first one, mainly due to the fact that the narrator mixed the voices much more closely to the actual characters genders. In my opinion, it takes on a more meaningful tone when the narrator has that kind of ability to change the voices. I’m definitely looking forward to reading or listening to the next book in the series. I highly recommend this series as it’s fun and entertaining.

Great Mystery and Fun Adventure

This series is light, fluffy and Hallmark Channel. The first thing noticed is the line of " You have never seen a dead body?" If you read the first book, that is a total mistake.
Gen X people are more astute than portrayed. This Boomer / Cusper needs more substance.
