Publisher's summary

Aliens are real, they happen to be gorgeous, and there’s no way I’d ever agree to be a tribute bride for them.

Now that everyone on Earth knows about the Drexians - and their need for human mates - women have been falling all over themselves to volunteer. But not me.

Oh, I’m eager to go to the holographic space station where human brides are taken for their fantasy weddings and honeymoons. But I’m there to work, not fall in love. If the captain of the ship will let me do my job.

The last thing I need is some cocky alien who questions my abilities. Even if he is a hot Drexian warrior who looks at me like I’m a snack.

Kalex may be acting captain of the new Love Boat being built on the outskirts of the galaxy, but that doesn’t mean he calls the shots. At least not when it comes to the design of the space station. That’s my job. A job he makes more difficult at every turn.

When things start to go wrong on the station, Kalex and I are forced to work together to save the station. But as tempers fly and sparks ignite, can we save the Boat and ourselves from the deadly Kronock plot?

This standalone sci-fi romance novel features steamy scenes on an alien space station, a smoking-hot Inferno Force captain who does not like to be disobeyed, and a guaranteed HEA. If you like feisty heroines, aliens with extra erogenous zones, and lots of adventure, you’ll love Ignite, the first book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance Inferno Force of the Drexian Warriors series.

Great story

I listen to a lot of audiobooks when I travel. This was a great story. I even used the self checkout at my local store so I wouldn’t have to stop listening long enough to talk to the cashier. And I never use the self checkout.

The narrators worked well together and did the story justice. I’d love to hear more from them in the future.

My only problem were a few areas in the beginning of the story. The narrators weren’t in sync and sounded like they were posted together quickly and did not match. A bit jarring, and If it had continued (there were a few instances at the end) I would have stopped listening.

Overall, a very entertaining read, delectable voices and a story that makes you want to keep listening. I am looking forward to listening to the rest of the series now.

Loved it!!!

Another hit series by Tana Stone. Her books are fun and give all the feels. The women are strong, sassy and know what they want. The men are sexy, dominant and won’t take no for an answer. The sparks fly in and out of bed. Can’t wait for the next book to come out.

A must read

Wonderful storyline. I read in paperback but so enjoyed hearing it live. Opposites attract scenerio but with a happy ending. Laughter, fun and sexy. Looking forward to more of the series.

Good book, but story seemed kinda slow.

Read the ebook, but the audiobook seemed to move along a little slow. Not sure if I have gotten used to a faster, more action packed story lately, but this story seemed to drag at certain points. I really enjoyed the ebook, but the audiobook, not so much. Will try 1 more book because I know it has more action in next story, but will have to see if it holds my interest enough to continue with the series in audiobook or not. Not to critique the narrator, but I have found that some books just don't make good audiobooks... but they are great ebooks.

Good enough

I’ve been reading the Tribute Brides for a while. I’ve also been listening to more Audible books. I find that my pleasure listening can be impacted by whether or not I’ve read the book first and have the characters voices fixed in my head.
In this encounter I will say that I LOVE the male narration & I like how you don’t have to hear a female narrator impersonate a male character. The female is one where I’d prefer the speed to be slightly slower, she seems too fast. Does that make sense?
Story is what we’d expect, I enjoy the setting. Familiarity with the characters from previous books makes for a desire to skip through some, you could skim if you were reading, but Can’t with listening.
Overall, enjoyable.

First in the new series

I love all of Tana Stone’s books! Her world building is great and she really makes you love the characters. Even though is is the first in a new series you don’t have to have read any of the other books (I highly recommend you do!) The captain of a ship called “The Love Boat”, a sassy girl, and their mutual enemy the Kronock are all included in this book. The narrators are great and it features back and forth conversation rather than one person doing the dialog.

Our girl is awesome!

Although we are starting a new series with my favorite alien warriors, the setting and story is different and interesting. Tana Stone is a really gifted writer when it comes to world building. I can picture the characters and personalities in such detail...... Love a strong, intelligent female lead that has an opinion and is not afraid to share it. Kalex is the captain of the new space station that Zoe is the architect of. They clash on everything but their constant bickering is trying to cover up the over the top chemistry. He's beyond hot and totally into Zoe but they have to get there. The snarky times are funny and the side characters are a hoot! A wonderful story that I really enjoyed and totally recommend

Ok

I think previous stories were better, more interesting. I miss previous narrators; Serge didn’t come across as flamboyant as he did in previous books. Didn’t hold my interest as other books in series had. Fell a bit flat.

Loved it!

Great narration. I really enjoyed the way the narrators brought thus book to life. I believe the use of both a male and female narrators made this audio book even better since he was able to do the warriors voices and the female voices were able to do the female and some alien voices which were all well done. The transitions were seamless and flowed with the continuity of the story line. The story was exciting and fun with some steamy chemistry between Zoe and Kalex. I'm definitely continuing the series because now I need to know what happened to Jax. I recommend listening in to this one.
