About this listen

Ignite the Fire: Incendiary struck a match; Ignite the Fire: Inferno brings a firestorm!

Cassie Palmer, once a down on her luck clairvoyant and now the chief seer of the supernatural world, is in the fight of her life. While on a rescue mission in Faerie, she is kidnapped by a king of the fey named Aeslinn. He is her sworn enemy and has every reason to want to kill her, yet instead he offers a trade: her life for that of her lover, John Pritkin.

Cassie doesn't know what the king's game is, only that it involves his alliance with Zeus, the head of the ancient pantheon who used to rule all of Earth and who is determined to do so again. In order to save her lover, and the world, she has to figure out what Zeus and his royal puppet are up to. She also has to stop them, even if it means taking on the king of the gods himself.

so did not like the narration... she sounded like a robot. story was just so busy that I had a hard time keeping up with it all.( both books -last and next to last book). totally love this series, but the last 2.. eh.

narration not so much

Book is excellent and follows the series with great new plot twists and character development. Sadly this narrator does not do the book justice.

Book is amazing

Good addition to the Cassie Palmer world despite being very long with many areas that could have been abbreviated. Also, while the narrator is like the female version of William Shatner in terms of vocal ability and the fact that all the men sound the same, you get used to her after a while as the story grabs you. Can't wait for the next one, although I know I will have to. :)

Not the Best Narrator, but you get used to her

Love everything Karen Chance writes! This was such an amazing addition to the series and I can't wait for the next one. I do miss the last narrator, as I felt she really captured the essence of Cassie but regardless, this book has everything anyone could ask for: laughter, tears, action, romance, friendship, a superb magical world... I could go on. I wish more people would read these novels.

Amazing Story

I loved the story as usual, this is one of my favorite series, however I really do not like the new narrator for this series, she isn't a very good fit in my opinion - she's far too rigid in her pronunciation, often using so many syllables for words it sounds like siri is reading a story. I understand that the old narrator is no longer available but I wish there was someone who sounded closer - or at least listened to the previous books because several words weren't able to be recognized. One yhat sticks out is "glamory" - one syllable, however Em read it as "gl-am-ory" 3 syllables. Louis Cesare's name wasn't even recognized when she said it.

Looking forward to the next book in this series, but I really hope it's not this narrator again, this was so hard to stay focused on.

Loved the story, not the narrator

I love this book series, LOVE IT. I have every audiobook pertaining to Cassie Palmer. This story, it fell short. I don't know if it was the horrendous narration or certain parts of the story just DRAGGGIIINGGGG but, I definitely won't be listening to this one on repeat like I do the others. I assume this is an AI narrorator, which is why there's zero emotion in the voice, which isn't Cassie Palmer. Cassie is a smart ass the best of times and an insecure woman trying to navigate a scary world the worst of times. This story/narration did not do her justice. There are also gaps in the story that don't make sense. But that's for the reader to decide.

I'm disappointed

Ok, Karen. I have everything you've written and multiple copies on kindle and audiobook. This lady's performance was awful. She was robotic and monotone in inflection. Her voice didn't change much between characters, and her accents were either nonexistent or awful. Loved the story though.

Great story, Poor Narration.

I struggled to finish because it was too rambling. e.g. a one or two page description of the clothing of everyone in the room, a two or three page description of the decorations on the wall. these 2 book could have been several hundred pages smaller.

Too rambling

The story was great, but the narration takes a lot of getting used to. Very Robotic when reading most of it, which is a good bit of the book since Cass is telling the story. But most of the time, the narrator animates the character voices when they have dialog.

Good story, but the narration is hard to listen to
