About this listen

Crew Collins

The rush of the high. The mind tingling feeling of that first line. This secret of mine has spiraled out of control, but I can’t stop. The drugs fill a void, helping me feel something and nothing all at once.

But him… He makes me feel everything.

Anderson Walker

He’s been my best friend for as long as I can remember. Thick as thieves. Life happened, our friendship has changed. Now I’m left with feelings I don’t know what to do with. There’s more to him hidden beneath the surface.

A dangerous secret.

A deadly obsession.

Love is worth fighting for. And the battle has just begun…

Friends to lovers

Crew and Anderson are best friends. Crew has been hiding his drug use even after an accidental overdose. During a camping trip, Anderson and Crew discover that they both have feelings for each other. From there, their relationship grows, but Crew continues to struggle with his addiction. When Anderson finally realizes there’s a problem, he tries to help. However, Crew doesn’t believe he has a problem and leaves. When Crew’s dealer dies in front of him, Crew must either accept that that will be his fate soon or accept the help his friends are offering.

Heartbreakingly beautiful...

Illicit Desires is book three in the deepest desires series. It's a best friends to lovers, MM romance with some triggers.

This is Crew and Anderson's story. It's filled with love, angst, true friendships and lust. Their chemistry is smoking hot. I absolutely loved the true affection between these two from the beginning. It is truly a heartbreakingly beautiful story, full of emotion and all the feels. A really good read.

Michael Gallagher and Sarah Puckett did a great job portraying these characters.

Anderson ~ Crew
🍁🍁🍁🍁

Anderson and Crew have been best friends forever and after going to different colleges, their friendship has changed but when they come back together for summer break, their relationship changes even more.

Anderson and Crew's journey is a wild and, at times, scary one. Anderson is a saint for dealing with and helping Crew with his demons. Their connection is undeniable and their chemistry is off the charts. There are some very heavy topics that need to be taken seriously if certain topics are triggers for the reader.

🎧 Michael Gallagher and Walker Williams did a great job of giving life to Anderson, Crew and their story.

Oh my...this was an amazing story

With each installment of the Deepest Desires series Ashley James gets bolder and definitely more explicit. Michael Gallagher is amazing and has been an asset in performing in this title as well as the previous ones...but omg Walker Williams made me feel as if I was inside the head and body of a drug addict...especially one who is going through withdrawals. My heart bled for Crew and I was glad when he and Anderson finally realized their friendship could be more. Also, hearing Sarah Puckett perform as Kate was a delight! I really wish Kate and Weston could get together...whether in a novella or off page it would be great! As always James brought the 🔥🔥...Crew and Anderson will be in my thoughts long after I finish this.

5 stars - I would listen to this again

Heartbreaking

This story is sooo good. It’s so heartbreaking. You will seethe with anger, cry for the hurt and pain, yell for the injustice and hurt for the things could have been done that weren’t. This whole series was just phenomenal and finished with a bang. The narration was just spot on. Michael Gallagher and Walker Williams did a wonderful job.

Crew and Anderson

4/5 ⭐

I really loved this story. My heart hurt so badly for Crew and what he's gone through, both before and during this book. I loved the way Anderson loved Crew and how he discovered he wasn't so straight after all.

I think this may have been a five star read for me without the other man and woman drama. There's just so much of it, and on both sides too. Both of these men mess up time and time again... But thankfully they find their way back to one another and I loved how their story ended.

The audio was great. I loved the little cameo from Sarah Puckett as Katie, (can she get her own book? Does she have one already?) and Michael Gallagher and Walker Williams both did great jobs narrating the guys.

Loved this series

Wow, Ashley has done it again. I loved Crew and Anderson's story. It broke my heart everything Crew has gone through. We get to see why he is the way he is. And kind of understand (doesn't excuse it) how he got to be that way. I loved how Anderson stuck through being his friend and what he needed. I will definitely be relistening to this series again.

The narrators were amazing in this. Definitely adding new ones to my top narrators.

not the easiest books but amazing ending

this last book one in my opinion the roughest one of all. it deals with drug addiction and how it affects the surroundings and the addict himself.
While I liked the story and how it unfolded, I felt there were a few issues that were hard to ignore. I dont know whats the author deal with girls in the stories but she writes them so bitchy and annoying. The only girl that was positive was Katie, which was badass in every way possible.

The narration was really good and I enjoyed this book very much although the hard and dark theme of the book.

the HEA at the end definitely worth the struggle and heartache they had.
