Michael Jayson is an excellent narrator and does the various British accents well without going over the top. If I have one complaint, it is his American accent but then most British narrators seem to have a problem with over exaggerating "American" speaking especially considering late 18th and early 19th century Americans often had accents from their homelands.
All in all, a very enjoyable week of commuting to and from work.
A rollicking tale of adventure on the high seas.

Would you listen to In Gallant Company again? Why?
It was interesting and I enjoyed the story line, We all know the outcome but alot of brave men on both sidesWhat other book might you compare In Gallant Company to and why?
It has a small slice of history of the Royal Navy, not sure which one to compare it to.What does Michael Jayston bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Mr Jayston is one of my favorite readers and he brings to life the different characters with a very professional style, Enjoy his style and look forward to listening to many moreIf you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
