Publisher's summary

You have been inundated with reports from media, governments, think tanks, and "experts" saying that our climate is changing for the worse, and it is our fault. Increases in droughts, heat waves, tornadoes, and poison ivy - to name a few - are all blamed on our "sins of emissions" from burning fossil fuels and increasing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Yet, you don't quite buy into this human-caused climate apocalypse. You aren't sure about the details because you don't have all the facts and likely aren't a scientist.

Inconvenient Facts was recorded specifically for you. Described in plain English and providing easy-to-understand information, Gregory Wrightstone presents the science to assess the basis of the threatening Thermageddon. The audiobook's 60 "inconvenient facts" come from government sources, peer-reviewed literature, or scholarly works, set forth in a way that is lucid and entertaining. The information will likely challenge your current understanding of many apocalyptic predictions about our ever dynamic climate. You will learn that the planet is improving, not in spite of increasing CO2 and rising temperature, but because of it. The very framework of the climate-catastrophe argument will be confronted with scientific fact.

Arm yourself with the truth.

Hard to listen too, but worth it

This book is written very dry and hard to listen to. This is caused by 2 parts. First, the narrative sounds like one of the annoying those a know it alls. Second is the obvious absolute hatred the author has toward environmental activists. I skipped to chapter 5 because the first couple chapters were too bias. However I still recommend listening to it because it contains a lot of good facts. His reasoning makes sense and double checking his research proves he knows what he is talking about and his logic is convincing. The media is helping tell a lie about carbon. I still think that some action needs to be taken in respect to the environment but not carbon reduction.

Devastating To The Religion of Climate Alarmism

Fantastic! The rebuttals I've seen to this book are pathetic. Instead of refuting the facts, the alarmists disparage the conclusions. And conveniently skip the most sensible evidence. It's amazing that so many people are so easily convinced by models when the data so easily dispels them. Models are manipulated to yield their desired conclusions which the data refutes.

We're experiencing the greatest, most expensive and destructive fraud ever hoisted on humanity.

Great layman science read - very accessible

Mind blowing reality check for the greenies. Don't check it out if being solidly challenged bothers you.

“Climate extremists” … “anti-science seekers of truth”….climate scientism is a false religion

It is truly astounding this information is not more widely shared. This is the kind of information that should be on the nightly news. These current false prophets of science I have done more harm then any good they may have fooled them selves to believe

TEXTBOOK QUALITY

This book must be distributed and taught in every school and be a required class in all universities. It would help counteract the mass fear mongering by most teachers, instructors and news outlets.

Sooooo aggravating.....

....to learn of this irrefutable data and empirical evidence based on actual science which so solidly obliterates the politically driven power mongers of major governments of the world and their plan for control through the climate cooling/warming/change hoax the past 50 years! Yes, facts are stubborn things. My choice was made easy. Who should I believe? A "consensus of scientists" (science is not consensus and consensus is not science) who proclaim their findings based on computer models and software programs they create to arrive at the results they desperately need to satisfy the expectations of the government entities which provide them the research grants to keep doing the "Lord's" work OR should I consider the actual facts of geologic and climate history over millions of years which screams at us not to be so blindly gullible?
If you are an adherent of man-caused climate change, I dare you to read this book and refute even ONE of the 60 facts so well-documented and plainly presented. Can an ever-growing polar bear population be wrong? What? We're still warming up from the last mini-ice age of 350 years ago? We are actually experiencing a decrease in the number of tornadoes and hurricanes? And what's this about plant growth being much, much higher and food more plentiful because there is more carbon dioxide in the air? Who knew? What happened when the oceans were 20 times more acidic than today? What happened when the global temperature was 8 degrees F warmer? Gasp!! And how high will the seas rise if the Arctic ice cap melts? (Hint: Watch the water level in your glass as the ice melts). I gotta stop.

Very interesting, to the point and clear.

The data actually makes so much sense. I was not very interested in reading on environmental topics before this. It reminds me much of my college days where we had to read loads on the alarming side of the conversation. But after listening to this book, I’m quite interested to learn more. The list of inconvenient facts at the end was highly appreciated!

Content was great, but…

Content was fantastic. Broken out into climate facts and easily consumable. My only complaint is the overuse of the word “hobgoblin” - which is a weird word to overuse. That’s probably what made it so distracting. Overall - not a deterrent to someone wanting to read it, just a slight annoyance.

Impressive Research

Because of its title, I initially thought this book would have a pugnacious tone, or combative style. It really is just a collection of scientific facts regarding the environment. I found them intriguing since most of the news portrays our current climate status as catastrophic. I am convinced more than ever that the antidote to fear is plain simple truth.

Factual

As a geologist, all the information that has been released in the past thirty years by the media about man made global warming has been so contradictory to everything I learned as a student and a practicing professional geologist the past 55 years. This is 80 percent of the book I was researching to write to educate the masses.

Wonderful entertaining and educational book. Job well done.

Steve
