About this listen

Rescued from captivity by a group of rather intimidating Kordolians, Noa finds herself recovering at a strange facility in the middle of the desert. SynCorp's medical experiments have left her with an impossible ability she can't control, and nobody really seems to know how to help her. She's fragile and shattered, a mere shadow of her former self, and she has nowhere else to go.

She doesn't know what to make of the Kordolians, especially when she can't stop their thoughts from leaking into her mind. The silver-skinned warriors are both terrifying and protective, and when she encounters a dark, mysterious presence in the most unlikely of places, she realizes that at least one of them might possess abilities similar to her own.

The question is, does this intimidating being intend to help her, or harm her?

Contains mature themes.

Surprisingly even better

This series just keeps getting better with every new book. I haven't read one yet that has disappointed. I can't wait to read what comes next in the next book. The story is captivating and exciting.

I can’t get enough of this series

As far as adult romances go, this series is my favorite so far. The storyline is amazing, the protagonists are amazing, and it’s just plain amazing. Did I mention it’s amazing? Anna Carven has managed to put together an erotic, yet intelligent series. I’d give it more stars if I could.

Totally unique

This is part of the Dark Planet Warriors series. It is a very unique story, and I really liked it. This story focuses on a “Silent One”, a warrior who was blinded at birth and destined to be bound in silence and 100% obedience through compulsion, to the ruling elite through the use of what is described as the energy or life force of the universe [this has nothing to do with magic or evil]. He is an assassin. A tool. And he met his match when he tried to kill General Tarak. The heroine of our story is a savant pianist who has been abducted and invasively, surgically altered - by humans (the same humans who abducted Abbey when she was pregnant!). These two have immense power, and although he is highly trained, she has no clue how to control it. Sometimes in books built around people wielding strange energy forces the writing gets too abstract and hokey to enjoy, however, this story is written well enough that it is believable and highly entertaining. The end is wonderful but I won’t spoil it for you. Your should read it for yourself!

The Perfect Connection

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. The character development was nice, you can really see how Noa and Ashreal complete each other in a profound way. The world building and character description aspects of the book really helped me to visualize the planet and the people. The insanity of the empress was intense. I mean you can kind of tell she’s insane from the first book in the series, but this book made it even more evident. This is with a read and a credit if you have one to spare.
