About this listen

Tired white lace, rote promises, same-old ceremonies - some brides have no time for that. They'll break the rules, turn tradition into straight-up scandal, and improvise as much as it takes to turn their wildest wedding dreams into real love.

Eva Ward has won a lavish wedding on the nation's hottest morning show and can't wait to kick off her happily ever after in style. Too bad her fiancé backs out on-air - and cameraman Aidan Walker makes sure her private meltdown goes viral, down to the last couch-kicking moment. The only way Eva can save face and keep her perfect nuptial plans on track is to star in a new "find a groom" reality segment. But finding Mr. Right in one month means ignoring her handsome new producer - none other than Aidan himself - and getting their instant, exasperating attraction out of her system. Eva soon finds there's a lot more to Aidan than freewheeling charm. But one glimpse of his caring side can't make up for off-camera politics, Aidan's own secrets - or Eva's fear that they're too different to ever trust each other. So it's time for her to flip this script, write twists no one will see coming, and risk her heart to get the real thing.

Getting dumped before your wedding

I cannot imagine being dumped before my wedding much less being dumped bye my long-term boyfriend just before a reality wedding and then to have it done on national television that cannot be good. That is the premise of this love story. I enjoyed the flow of the story it all seems very reasonable to me hopefully there’s a part two because I’m ready to read it.

Nice Story Rushed Ending...

I like the story and the character building. It's was slowing going which I don't mind but it ended so abruptly that it wasn't satisfying. Narration was very good. I like the story except the very end.

Slow but ok

Although the storyline of this book was very typical, it was not that bad of a listen. A good listening on a day when you don't have anything else to do. however, the narration is so slow that I had to listen to it at ×1.45 and at times that was still do slow.

Ok

I really liked this book and would recommend it. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. I would have given it 5 stars if the author hadn't used God's name in vain.

The narrator as always was great. This couple was great together and I was rooting for them the entire time. I was hoping he was her last date and not Kevin. I was hoping that was why he hadn't connected her, because he was waiting for her on the date. I wanted her to dump Kevin like he did her.

So good

I like this book in everything that it was about another beautiful love story, and I love how the main character Eve had to step outside of her self, just to be herself, for herself, and she ended up winning at the end.

It was okay. Dragged out but okay.

This was an okay read. I found myself fast forwarding through most of the book. The story was dragged out way to long. It was a bit boring and predictable. The repetitive phrases were really irritating. The narrator was pretty good and was the only reason I finished the book.

DNF at 63%

DNF at 63%.

Awful writing. Truly, horrendous prose. This 'author' desperately needs to take writing classes. At the very least, she should learn how to avoid repetition and the means by which she can increase her woefully limited vocabulary.

The narrator, Diana Luke, would do well to develop a wider range in her voices since every character sounded remarkably similar. Her 'blaccent ' was also quite grating. Was it necessary to render the Black women stereotypes by dint of her performance?
