Publisher's summary

Have you ever had one of those really bad days at work? You know, one where your sexy AF boss catches you photocopying your backside in his office?

No? Just me, then?

I blame my bestie and partner-in-chaos. She challenged me with a not-so-innocent dare that I should’ve flat out declined.

But I’m an adrenaline junkie, and now, here I am. I know it sounds crazy, and daredevil tendencies aside, I definitely went too far to get his attention.

But you haven’t seen him.

Colton Wolfe. My boss. Tall, dark, handsome, and with the sexiest British accent I’ve ever heard.

His only flaw? That he’s completely oblivious to what’s been right in front of him all along.

Me.

Well, he was, until a few minutes ago.

Remember those good old days?

Before I got caught bare-assed and making nice with the copy machine, and before I was totally getting fired? But wait. Maybe I’m not.

If I can take on the biggest dare of all: making Colton Wolfe fall in love with me.

funny as all get out

this book was fun. I've not laughed that hard in a while. although the end was cut off. and all kinds of good stuff thrown into a quick flat epilogue.

Very entertaining

Elle and Colton make a fun couple as they date each other over two continents. Work partners who become life partners, they are both smart, strong characters. Very well read by Carly and Shane.

The Dare

I loved this light hearted romance from Lauren Landish. It was refreshing for an “office romance” book to not follow a pre-ordained plot. That the book doesn’t follow the “canned romance” shows the aptitude of this writer to write a good book without having to prop herself on a genre crutch. I wish more authors would write a GOOD story and plot like this book. It’s really a gem of a book. Highly recommended

Funny and Fabulous

I loved listening to this book. I was actually laughing out loud. Both characters had funny quotes and thoughts. Narrators were great. Always a joy when you like the voices and they match the characters. Thanks for the rom-com audible ❣️😂

I dare you....to listen to this book

I absolutely adore this story. I've honestly listened to it, as well as The Truth (the second book in the series) countless times. I fell in love with Elle instantly, she's wild with a dash of crazy and will keep you on your toes with her antics. Colton will surprise you for sure in his development throughout the story.

This book had me constantly cracking up it's too funny. I love that there isn't relationship drama that most romance books have. Seriously I have stopped listening to other books because for whatever idiotic reason the couple stops talking or argues with the whole push-pull inner monologues that makes you want to pull your hair out. Thankfully this book doesn't waste time on all that and keeps moving forward never keeping the listener in limbo.

Narrators are amazing in my opinion and both did the characters justice so no complaints there.

Good book, didn’t like narrators

I really enjoyed the book and the story line but there were too many times I almost stopped it because the narrators voices were annoying. The accent sounded fake and the drama was a little too much. I liked the fact that there were male and female narrators but it defeated the purpose of the female would read what the man had to say. Otherwise good job from Lauren Landish

My first Audible book

The narrators were great. The male character and narrator were British which made the story more realistic instead of someone faking an accent. The story was pretty interesting.

Great story!

the performance by both readers were awesome. Bring their characters to life! now I did have one or two nitpicks but could be easily over looked. 1) Whatever happened to Eli's mom after she left, Eli an her Father? Did Eli's mom an her fling break up eventually and Karma got even with her or is it just how the Author described it, she left and just never looked back? 2) Wish the voice actors got to read their own character's lines, even though they had separate chapters of their own. It would have made the book seem more organic, in the story. other then that; the female voice actress was amazing with almost all of the voices she had performed but not when she voiced the main character male's voice. She made him sound quite old, in my opinion. The male actors voice was picked quite well and bring his main characters family to live was extraordinary. But besides my nitpicks on certain stuff, the storyline was superb, down right thrilling and quite funny at times. It brought a smile to my face the rest of the day; reminding me the fearlessness, we all had as young adults or even our teenage year's. 5 out of 5 stars.
