Publisher's summary

This box set includes: The Runaway Gypsy Boy, Master Cleary's Boys, and Master Braden's Houseboy.

Book One: Runaway Gypsy Boy

Twenty-year-old Daniel Serban loses his dancing job and threats of being outed to his family force him to flee Limerick, Ireland. Daniel fears his father and the other gypsy men will force him to marry his betrothed, or bring bodily harm to him for being gay.

As chance would have it, he ends up in Cleary’s Pub, a gay leather bar in Galway where he meets the grouchy, ginger-bear Ronan O’Riley. Daniel had no idea how much meeting the Dom would transform his life.

Book Two: Master Cleary’s Boys

Desperate to escape the clutches of an increasingly sadistic and abusive Dom, Kevin and Jack seize their opportunity to escape and runaway to Galway. They shave their heads and do their best to avoid being detected while searching for a new Dom who is prepared to take them on as package deal. Their running leads them to Cleary’s Pub - a bar full of leather-clad Doms and subs, owned and run by Master Cleary.

Master Cameron Cleary was in need of a new sub - it had been far too long since he’d had a boy in his life. Each night as he ran his pub filled with leather-clad Doms, accompanied by their subs, he became more aware of how solitary his life had become.

Book Three: Master Braden’s Houseboy

Reece was a guitar player and a singer at his grandfather’s pub in Dublin until someone betrays his secret. Once he was a happy and carefree young man, who finds himself on the streets and homeless.

He meets a handsome stranger, who gives him hope that the world still has people with compassion, until he discovers the man may have compassion, but he is no softie. Conner hires Reece as his houseboy.

I love these stories. This Box Set is amazing. James Talbot has a amazing voice and really brings these stories to life and makes you love the characters even more.

But once his employer find out who his Da is he fires him and threatens to tell his Da what Daniel is gay and about his job. --Master Cleary's Boys (book 2)--- Kevin and Jack escape an abusive Dom who hurts them and makes them do illegal things. They shave their heads so they aren't noticeable and hoping to find a Dom that would take them both on. They head for Cleary's pub. Master Cameron Cleary wants a new sub after being alone for so long. That's when he sees them. Both looking for work and a place to stay and one Dom for both of them Can Master Cleary protect them both and save them from the trouble they run from?

Great box set

I had no expectations for this series. I went into all three stories completely blind. I was pleasantly surprised at all three stories revolving around the same friends who all happen to be Dom’s and four boys who find their way to Master Cleary’s Pub. All three stories have a great pace and have different elements to the plot. Overall, it is a great series.

Nice Stories

I don't like some other reviews who are ageist about the voice actor. True, the pace of the narrative Vaught me off-guard for a bit, but you quickly get used to the cadence and they are very professional.

I like how the characters are intertwined and as each book develops, you already know the main players. It's a decent storyline. The short part about killer clowns was weird and out of the blue, but mostly th stories had a good pace.

Lacks sophistication

I’ve listened to over 400 books primarily in the M/M genre and many with bdsm themes. I was unfortunately disappointed in this series. Overall I would describe it as a lost opportunity. The world of doms and subs based at Cleary’s Pub had all the pieces in place for great storytelling and sympathetic characters but it just never got off the ground. If I had to speculate, I’d say maybe the author was inexperienced. I forgot James Talbot isn’t my favorite narrator but he just did his usual thing with this. He didn’t make or break it for me, considering the writing wasn’t great in the first place.

A sleeper

It’s all wrong , but you can not tell what the story line is . The reader is a very old person, and I am 64 yrs old for Gods sake!

They need a younger stranger voices for this type of book !!!
