Daniel Mulligan is tough, snarky, and tattooed, hiding his self-consciousness behind sarcasm. Daniel has never fit in - not at home in Philadelphia with his auto mechanic father and brothers, and not at school where his Ivy League classmates looked down on him. Now, Daniel's relieved to have a job at a small college in Holiday, Northern Michigan, but he's a city boy through and through, and it's clear that this small town is one more place he won't fit in.
Rex Vale clings to routine to keep loneliness at bay: honing his muscular body, perfecting his recipes, and making custom furniture. Rex has lived in Holiday for years, but his shyness and imposing size have kept him from connecting with people.
When the two men meet, their chemistry is explosive, but Rex fears Daniel will be another in a long line of people to leave him, and Daniel has learned that letting anyone in can be a fatal weakness. Just as they begin to break down the walls keeping them apart, Daniel is called home to Philadelphia, where he discovers a secret that changes the way he understands everything.

Would you listen to In the Middle of Somewhere again? Why?
Yes. Narration was good and the story was just very well written. The inside thoughts of Daniel are amusing!Excellent

What made the experience of listening to In the Middle of Somewhere the most enjoyable?
I fell in love with these beautiful characters. The story was told so well. These two characters belonged together from the start. Their chemistry was off the charts and so was the sex. I thought I was going to die when Rex just wanted to stay inside Daniel. It was so hot. I bought the book first and when it became available as an audio book I had to have it. It was amazing and I fell in love all over again. What other book might you compare In the Middle of Somewhere to and why?
I could read about Rex and Daniel all day. I want more of their story. I cried when I finished it because I knew I was going to miss these two very much. What does Robert Nieman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He writes very indepth characters. We know exactely what each is thinking and feeling. His use of humor makes it that much more endearing.Who was the most memorable character of In the Middle of Somewhere and why?
He did an awesome job. I guess in my head I thought Rex's voice would sound deeper. But it was all good.Any additional comments?
Please can we have another book on these two? I loved this book so much...thank you!!!This is one of my very favorite books.

If you love M/M love stories then I highly recommend this one.
The narrator was good. I had a little trouble differentiating the characters because his voice doesn't really change, but the story was so good that it was totally okay.
I loves this book!
