I love the narrator but am so confused as to why no one edits the mispronounced words. Van Cleef & Arpels, for instance. There’s at least one or two in every book.

I liked this book. I thought it had a little more humor than past books in the series. I sometimes wish the narrator would lighten up a little bit on the main characters voice, sometimes she comes off as a little too prim & proper like her Aunt. But over all, I enjoyed it.

Really exciting story. Salem has been invaded by crows. And someone is killing witches. Lea and her boyfriend cop are on the job. Great story.

Another good book by Carol J Perry. The book was different from others and enjoyed plot.

I have tried so are to fall in love with these stories, but the lack of true character development, the lack of focus on the gift, which is always an afterthought, and the overly drawn out plot, just kills my desire to love the series. The most interesting part of all the books, Lee’s gift and how she navigates it is used so little within the story that you forget she has one. And this story could have been told in 5-6 hours vs the 8-10 hours noted. I actually had the narration sorry at 1:30 to keep me interested. Had I used 1:00, I would have deleted the book.

The narrator is not the best. She has been getting better, but still falls back into the same voice for many characters.

I am going to move on to the next book to give this series one more chance, but if it takes two days to listen to again, I am done.

This is a mediocre cozy mystery series. Lee Barret lives a charmed life inconvenienced by an occasional murder. The plot is slow and the characters are not realistic. The first couple of books were ok but I haven't enjoyed the last couple of books.

I loved the first in this series, liked the 2nd one and on down the hill. The narrator was ok in the first book but she must have fallen in love with herself by book #6. Slow, boring, stiff - really terrible.
