Story
The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

A sparkling new Christmas novel from Julia Williams. It's Christmas, and Beth King is preparing to spend it in the bosom of her family, doing the same things they have done since time immemorial: arguing with each other, stuffing themselves silly, putting up with Grandad making them watch the Queen, and having the family row by teatime. Despite having children of their own, Beth and her husband, Daniel, have never quite managed to escape the horrors of the Holroyd family Christmas.

Miracle on 34th Street begins when a last-minute replacement in the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade claims to be the genuine Santa. Is he the real thing or just a charlatan in a red fuzzy coat? In a classic courtroom climax, the department store's Kris Kringle must convince everyone, including a skeptical little girl named Susan Walker, that Santa Claus really does exist.

Fabulous radio-style performance by the original movie cast
I was delighted to discover this audiobook. It’s more of a radio style performance of the movie, and is greatly truncated for audio purposes. Many of the moments that make the film so magical had to be omitted, because they are strictly visual. I listened to this while I decorated my Christmas tree today, and it was the perfect soundtrack, so to speak. I haven’t had a television for four years, so discovering this gem was a real Christmas treat. Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed, and many of the original cast members voice this performance. It’s such a special Christmas present to myself. Highly recommended!
