some of the acting is excuciatingly awful

Would you try another book from Gareth Tilley and/or Jerry Robbins and The Colonial Radio Players ?

I'd need to hear it first, based on this one

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

the story is ok

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Some of the acting is dreadfully amateurish, esp the attempts at Brit accents. Don't know where they get these people. Either they don't pay their actors much or they make do with volunteers. It's teeth-clinchingly awful/

Do you think Jarrem Lee - Ghost Hunter needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No

Any additional comments?

get some help with accents...FAST!

Beware Crabtree Cottage!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Certainly. The second story is the creepiest in this series to date!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Jarrem Lee - Ghost Hunter?

Each time Jarrem Lee performs his "battle checklist" with Bennett , you just know something spooky is about to occur!

Which scene was your favorite?

Crabtree Cottage from start to finish!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Moved me...? No, not really. There is some great male bonding between Lee and Bennett, but that's about it. Maybe the mother's joy at the first tale's conclusion.

Any additional comments?

If you enjoy old time style radio fun, treat yourself immediately and buy these Ghosthunter audio books!

Textbook Ghost Hunter!

Would you listen to Jarrem Lee - Ghost Hunter again? Why?

I listen often because of the production values CRT uses for each show. Gareth Tilley writes well and researches well also. Each ghost hunter episode is filled with off handed references to literature's occult detectives. This makes listening fun for me.

What did you like best about this story?

Overall Jarrem Lee volume 2 is textbook ghost hunter. All of your standard occult tropes are there as well. Different mythologies are used also to propel the story.

Have you listened to any of Jerry Robbins and The Colonial Radio Players ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listening to many CRT productions and each Jarrem Lee tale is a solid performance. They compare easily to the father brown productions. I don't think Jarrem Lee would do well as a full scale CRT production like Ticonderoga. The material is more episodic.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The pentacle won't hold! This is a great tag line for Jarrem Lee. Often he and Bennett have to think of something quickly to stop the forces of darkness from closing in.
