About this listen

There are a few lessons one has to learn for themselves. Then there are the lessons that most people don’t have to learn because it’s just not done.

For instance, most people know instinctively that they shouldn’t crave the mother of their brother’s child.

Bourne Pena isn’t most men.

Bourne does everything he can to fight the attraction he feels for Delanie, but in the end, his refusal to go there almost ends up costing him his life.

Delanie Davidsdottir just wanted to forget. One night, she wanted to feel like a normal human being.

That one night changes her life and gives her a son that becomes her heart and soul. From that point forward, she does her level best to keep her head on straight and not make any more mistakes.

And falling for her child’s father's twin brother - say that three times fast - would be a mistake. Not only is he Trouble with a capital T, he’s also a SWAT officer that puts his life on the line every single day.

She can’t take another loss like the one she suffered once before.

Then again, Delanie never encountered a man like Bourne Pena before, either.

Bourne and Delanie

It may have taken time for Bourne and Delanie to get together but when they finally do; they are explosive. I am so glad that they finally got a their own story. This book was exciting, suspenseful, and extremely swoon worthy. Lani Lynn Vale never disappoints. I absolutely loved this story, each book in this series just keep getting better.
Narration was great!

Excellent story. The writer did a great job. The two people who did the Audible brought the story to life.

I really enjoyed Bourne and Delanie's story. This was my first audiobook from this author and the narrators did a fantastic job of bring the characters and story to life. I look forward to reading or listening to more from Lani Lynn Vale.

If you drive as much as i do, audible is a savior

I drive about 3-4 hours PER DAY, 5 days a week. I hate driving, but its something i have to do. I listen to A LOT of books. I have over 40 finished books in my library. I just found the SWAT team 2.0 series (and the other ones around it) and most of them are great. The stories are fun and not typical. I like how there are suspenseful parts throughout the book instead of just a big one by the end. And i like the interaction with the characters from the other books from the series. I love how the characters have flaws, but they are likable and realistic. They have real reactions. Character development is my biggest pet peeve when it comes to books. I hate it when the characters arent likable or relatable. LLV does a wonderful job making you fall in love with the characters, and not only the main ones, but the ones from the other books.
And the narration is also very important. VERY important. Like character and plot, the narration can make or break the story. Ava and Aaron do a wonderful job. Ava is great, but man, AAron has a sexy deep voice. I love both of them. They both show emotion. So many narrators dont show enough emotion and the story suffers from that.
LLV is a great story teller, and join the club is no exception. It’s a wonderful book with wonderful characters, story and narration.
THANKS LLV, again, for making the drive for my career much much more pleasant and entertaining.

TWINNING!!! 👯‍♀️👬❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

(Bourne & Delanie): TRIGGERS: bullying, abuse of authority, arranged marriages. Ah, the other half of the twin catastrophe is completed and let me tell you their beginning (for both couples) is so wildly screwed up. Delanie is Booth's baby mama and also the daughter who was originally set to marry Cary from the previous book. This story lines up at the same time as Booth and Dillan's story and by now you should know how Asa came into fruition. Well, while Booth and Dillan had been in love for years, so had Bourne and Delanie. But Bourne actually gave up so much more just to be there for Delanie while his brother was serving in the military. Helping her raise Asa while keeping his distance from Delanie herself. Quickly we see that these two can no longer fight the sexual attraction they have for each other. And that attraction is strong. Though Bourne still keeps her at a distance. So LLV painfully walks us through Bourne's thought process as he decides what to do. This book is just as hot as its predecessor and D&D's very creepy dad makes yet another appearance. A lot of emotions are going on in this one. I loved that there wasn't a long wait to find out how the twins' stories end.
