This story was cute and sweet. I did enjoy listening to it while doing some house work. There was not much suspense or tension. The dramatic parts were less than dramatic and the steamy parts were mild. It’s not a waste of time but not something I would listen to again but may listen to other books that come along. The virtual voice did not bother me at all it was just like if I were reading it in my head bc in my head everyone has my voice 🤷🏻‍♀️. My only complaint which is a stupid one but while I’m here is the picture was sooooo off and I really wish the cover would represent the characters in the book but other than that It’s a nice story.

Cute, sweet but not core clenching

Decent listen. My biggest issue was that there were a lot of grammatical errors... I can deal with a few. But there were missing words and wrong words ... Basically it makes me think that it is either translated from another language OR the author didn't have anyone looking over her work for errors. I will listen to more from the author.

Has a bit of everything...

The guy on the cover doesn't even remotely resemble the alien described in the story. He's a black human male, while the character barely resembles a human. Outside of being humanoid, there isn't much else that's similar. The woman looks black, not Latina as the FMC is.
The characters are incredibly well-described and really well developed. From the planetary situation on Earth all the way to the new world. It was a great storyline, even with the cliche ex. The situation resulting from her was way better than the vast majority of that trope. It's just so involved and really gives you a lot of suspense as you hang on, desperate to see if everything's going work out. The end is a great reward for everything leading up to it.

The cover does NOT do this book justice
