This title uses virtual voice narration
Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
When my friends and I are sucked into another galaxy, I'm sure we're about to die. But when I wake up I'm all alone on a desert planet. Or so I think.
Turns out there's a giant, hunky alien warrior right there with me.
Doshax rescues me from the gruesome rodents and lizards hunting us and finds food for me to eat. He even builds me a shelter. I could get used to this!
But I need to find my friends. And figure out how to get home. He needs to find his own squadron. Once he does, we'll go our separate ways.
Just one problem: I don't want to leave Doshax.
His kisses are hot enough to burn me up inside, and when he claims me I could explode with desire. But something is holding Doshax back. He's claimed my body, but I'm determined to have his heart.
How can I convince my alien warrior that I should be his mate?

This was a very interesting story.

The audiobook was narrated in dual points of view by virtual voice, which is a computer generated narration. It was a male voice which I liked. Since it is a computer, it is a bit stilted, but it was not bad.
Different but good!

I could have done without Olivia’s constant thoughts about how he’s the best guy ever, so much better than any Earth guy, and so much better in the sack … she must think these things a dozen times in such a short novella.
There’s the beginning of a series arc about the mystery planet on which they find themselves and some of the other MCs for the next installments are introduced. With a human narrator, I might have liked this better and would want to move on.
Unfortunately, the virtual narrator has no emotion, even when voicing her panting “oh please, please!
I need you!” When the alien says Olivia, the virtual voice pronounces it Oh-LIE-Vuh, which is yuck.
The virtual voice fails to alter when her POV is on versus when Dashox’s POV is on. And how is it that a virtual voice has volume issues? The volume abruptly swings up and down throughout.
This is my third novella with virtual voicing. All in all, I can’t say virtual voicing is working for me.
I doubt I’ll be listening to any more unless they are free.
Virtual voice is sorely lacking
