About this listen

Liked absolutely everything. She is a fantastic author. Characters very well developed, historical events woven into the plot beautifully.

Loved it!

At once, a love story and an allegory of the German experience in trying to transition between one historical era to the next. It grabbed me from the beginning and I could not put it down. At once accessible and multi faceted. I am glad I own it because I will need to listen to it again to uncover all the layers.

Tender, understated, powerful
