About this listen

Some fears haunt you forever....

As the ballistics and weapons expert for the FBI's special task force nicknamed the White Knights, Rick Cannon has known the Department of Defense was developing self-steering bullets. Rick feared these smart bullets - which have 100 percent accuracy that can turn even a novice into a lethal sniper - would eventually end up in the hands of the wrong people. But since the ammunition was still in the development stage, he figured they had plenty of time before that happened. He was wrong. Dead wrong.

Until they become reality.

When a homeless vet is killed with a smart bullet, it's clear that the ammunition has been stolen, and the Knights are called in to find the thief and stop the killings. But they aren't the only ones desperate to find the killer. Therapist Olivia Dobbs is well known for her success in counseling military veterans with PTSD. When she discovers one of her clients moments after he is murdered, she becomes both the FBI's prime witness and suspect.

Despite the mutual attraction that immediately sparks between them, Rick can't - no, he won't - let Olivia interfere with his investigation. But when the sniper trains his rifle on her, Rick must recall all the skills he learned as a Marine sniper to make sure the next bullet fired isn't a kill shot that takes Olivia out.

The White Knights are Awesome!

This is the second book in this series. It arrived in my library early this morning. I finished listening to it tonight.
You can’t judge a person by just seeing the surface. The FBI team “White Knights “ are all retired members of different branches of the Armed forces. They each have a special part in the team, sniper, computers, bombs, forensics, and etc. They are Believers in God and rely on their Faith to help them in their lives. It’s great to listen to a good Inspirational Suspense with out bad language and sex scenes.
I can hardly wait for the next one! I love the Author Susan Sleeman and Narrator Rachel Dulude.

Another great listen

I like Susan Sleeman’s books, from the fast paced action to character development, these books are great.
I also enjoyed that all of Susan Sleeman’s books have underlying Christian messages. This one deals with forgiveness.

Entertaining Christian suspense!

This book has wonderful characters and great suspense with some action-packed scenes. And I love the beginnings of the romance and the way God is sprinkled throughout the story. There are some difficult issues in the book that may trigger some. It's an entertaining book, and the performance is very good.

Greatnsuspense

Not a fan of the psychiatrists personality. Too intense. Loved the Knights characters and how they excelled in a serious situation. A good read

Counseling was good

I liked this book a bit more than most of Sleeman’s other works I have read or listened to. I especially appreciated the good advice as characters worked through their issues.

I enjoyed learning a little about technology and weapons as well as investigative techniques. The book definitely had a lot of information that seemed plausible. It made me interested enough to look up information about things mentioned. “Smart” technology is still new but getting so much better so I know it is definitely going to change our lives in many positive and negative ways depending on the use. The book really made me think about this.

The thing I liked least was the predictable plot progression: heroine is attacked by bullet, heroine run off the road, heroine kidnapped, hero rescues her, someone is shot while the other keeps watch, both declare love after crisis is resolved. As I listened, I found myself wondering where / when the car accident would happen. Haha, I need to find a new genre, maybe Sci Fi or something.

I did like this book because it truly was uplifting, and I guess I needed some of the counseling sessions and hope it offered.

A book and author worth investing in

I am very choosy who I read and what I read and this book and author are worth investing your time in. Kill Shot includes suspense, intelligence, psychology, romance, faith, discovery, and thrill - all leading you to have something to kick back and listen to while learning, growing, and entertained. I’d recommend this book, this series, and this author any day of the week. :-)
