About this listen

When a woman is murdered in the course of a major robbery, and the police are out of leads, Violet is called onto the case. But what initially looks like a simple murder is soon exposed to be a far greater threat.

And with DCI Johnson having gone underground, Cassie and Violet have more answers to uncover, and very few leads to follow.

Will they solve the case, or will Lily's secret plan stop them in their tracks?

The Cassie Coburn mysteries are a cozy mystery series featuring a Sherlock-holmes style sleuth. If you want a light, fun, modern mystery featuring a San Francisco girl totally out of her element in London, and a crazy French woman who happens to be very good at noticing things, then this is the series for you.

Amazing narrator does all the voices so well!!

Samantha Silver is known for paranormal novels, so the Cassie Coburn series is different because there are no witches or any other paranormals. Exciting adventures and a spy down the street named Violet just make this series addicting!!

Fun series!

Having read all 10 books of the series so far, I really do enjoy it. The main issue that I have with the whole series is continuity and editing. In between one of the books and the very next book, there is a major continuity issue. Cassie at the end of one book discovers that emergency medicine is where her heart lies, but at the very beginning of the next book, she is unsure of emergency medicine. In addition to continuity issues like this, editing is a fairly major problem. Over and over and over the author states the same things said slightly differently. If the editor really knew what they were doing, they would have deleted one or two or three or more of these issues.

Also, another gripe I have is what happened to Cassie’s best friend the Australian doctor in training? She just flat out doesn’t exist in the last three books.

On the whole, however, these books are really fun. The characters are great, and each mystery is enjoyable.
