What A Wild Ride!!!

This book was a hot boiling mess of drama, drama, drama. Lawd, these were some of the most dislikeable characters I've ever read about. I'm embarrassed at the stupidity displayed by these female characters. The story picks up three years later after the prequel. KoKo finally divorced Bernie's trash azz. She's engaged to her fitness trainer and they have a two year old daughter. KoKo is essentially living the American dream. Her family life is on point and, after being stagnant for a while, her career is poppin' again. But, as with most females, we can't just be grateful for what we have. KoKo has been cheating on poor Pierre for damn near their entire relationship. Not only is she cheating on the man but, she’s cheating on him with four different people including a woman! When I tell y'all I was so disappointed in how KoKo completely changed. This was not the KoKo we were introduced to in the prequel. It's like she did a complete 180 and turned into the female version of Bernie. She did poor Pierre so dirty and he was completely oblivious. And, to make matters worse, this heffa gets pregnant and doesn't know who the father is!!!! Oh, and one of the possible baby daddies is Bernie! Yeah, the same Bernie who she caught in bed with her cousin Gary in the prequel! Fix it Jesus! Then we have Ivonka's clueless azz. This chic was so desperate to have a man that she completely ignored all kinds of red flags wavin' and blowin' in her face. How do you meet a man and, three weeks into the relationship, you're buying his daughter a brand new luxury car, putting a down payment on a car for him, and letting him move into your house?!!! Then, he informs you he quit his job and wants to become an entrepreneur and expects you to foot the bill. Again I ask, how was none of this suspicious to Ivon?!!! Jesus be a box of common sense because, this chic was just dumb. Nobody is that gullible right?!!! Adrian wasn't nothin' but the devil. When the plot twist revealed who he really was, I almost did a Maury Povich run around my house! Chiiiiiiiile, come to find out Adrian was Moet's broke azz husband. Now, in case y'all don't know who Moet is, she's the woman KoKo was cheating with. Adrian specifically targeted Ivonka to get back at KoKo. What did I tell y'all?!!! Drama, drama, drama! Finally, we have Desiree. She's been married to Lucas for 8 years and he was cheating before the ink was dry on their marriage certificate. At least KoKo tried to hide her cheating. Lucas just didn't give a damn. He didn't even bother to show up for the birth of their last baby. In between all that cheating, Desi managed to spit out 6 kids. Not only does he keep knocking up his wife but, Lucas is knocking up his side chics too! Poor Desi. She's unhappy and stuck in a marriage with six kids she desperately wants out of. She thinks the only way out is to kill herself so, she takes a handful of pills but, winds up in the hospital having her stomach pumped. The female characters in this book were disappointing. They had no likeable traits and none of them displayed a single ounce of common sense. While the characters were the worst, KoKo was really a good book. My only complaint is the author didn't tell us who the father of KoKo's baby was. Apparently, we have to wait for that big reveal in Armani’s story which doesn’t come out until later in the Summer. Ugh!
