About this listen
From the author of #1 bestseller Morgan Is My Name comes the second in the trilogy. Based on Arthurian legends, Le Fay is the second book in the magical retelling of Morgan Le Fay’s life.
Having escaped an unhappy marriage, Morgan finds herself in Camelot – the city of dreams and peace. Her brother, King Arthur, treats her as a valued advisor and Morgan finally has recognition befitting her intelligence within Arthur’s trusted circle, despite a longstanding conflict with Queen Guinevere.
But Morgan’s life is not without complications. Between a vengeful husband determined to snatch their son away, the strict ideals of court life, and a jealous rival for Arthur’s attentions in the sorcerer Merlin, gaining true recognition and freedom is a greater challenge than Morgan envisioned. And when a face from her past arrives at Camelot, bringing old memories and new desires, the future that she has planned is at greater risk than ever.
When trouble strikes, Morgan is forced to accept an avaricious Merlin’s offer of tutorage in order to keep everything she loves safe. But as Morgan’s growing knowledge pushes the boundaries of death itself, the temptation of darkness both uncovers formidable new powers, and threatens her reputation. What sacrifices is Morgan willing to make to keep control of her life?

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Make a wish. The words have haunted Rashmi since she first heard them whispered the night before her mother died, when she was just 10 years old. Rashmi’s mother used to tell her stories of a magical garden lit only by the moon, whose blossoms grant wishes. For years, Rashmi believed the whisper somehow came from the mysterious moon garden of her mother’s stories and that her own failure to respond—to wish—may have cost her mother her life.

They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

"A deluge in woman form"
Unbelievably delicious. This second book is so much better and more exciting than the first! The first is good of course, but this one had me riveted.

Engaging story telling to the last second
I’ve been waiting MONTHS for this second installment to be released and was NOT at all disappointed. I found the story just a tad bit slow in starting but not disappointing.
Oh the last 5-10 minutes was worth the whole listen and leaves me yearning for Morgan’s story to continue!

Worth the Wait
I have waited so long for this and I can say it was definitely worth it. I was a big fan of the first book and was disappointed every time the release date of this was pushed out. But now it’s here, it is everything I hoped it would be. It took me a little while to get used to the different narrator. The new one does a good job. It took a minute to really clamp onto the story. Sort of like the awkwardness of seeing an old good friend after so many years apart. Once warmed up, the story zooms off to the very places I hoped it would. Don’t give up because the first chapters feel unfamiliar. There’s a reason. Basically, a fun time and I hope for another! Just please don’t make us wait years for it.

What a wonderful version of Morgan Le Fay. Loved the first book and the second was beyond my expectations. Now must wait for the third, what agony.

Great Listen
Perfect balance of storytelling. Depth of characters, great narration, ticks all the boxes of intrigue, romance, magic, adventure, mystery…etc. I hope there is a third book!

More Please!
wonderfully written! beautifully told! a fantasy without being ridiculous, historical romance without being simpering or obsequious, a ferocious heroin (with the exception of the intro music at the beginning and the outro music at the end of the book that was horrible to experience) I recommend this book and it's predecessor over and over and over again!
