About this listen

Includes 15 video chapter lessons!

David Molnar was never supposed to be a professional photographer. Until the fateful day he almost died from a head on collision. While learning to walk again, photography became his escape and a form of therapy. But he found that turning pro in photography wasn't clear. There is no Bar exam for photography. He wished he had a mentor to show him the way. He struggled for a decade using trial and error before finding eventual success.

His work has now been seen by hundreds of millions of people in publications like The New York Times, People Magazine, USA Today, on billboards, on album covers and on millions of Pepsi and Mountain Dew cans. This book is the guide he wished he'd had 20 years ago. David promised himself that if he ever figured out photography, he would become the mentor for others that he never had. So he created this book which describes his easy five step path that anyone can use to become a great photographer, and turn pro if they want. Whether you want to pursue photography for passion or for profit, this book is for you!

Best Book I've Ever Read for the Photography Career-minded. Read this if that's you! Five Stars.

I thought the author did an amazing job describing the life of a photographer which I have shared parts of. He was down to earth, imbued with optimism, and also very practical. I thought everything he talked about was useful even though I knew much of it. He really put together a great starter manual for beginner or intermediate photographers, and you would be wise to read, it if that's what you want to go into.

He’s a great story teller and it is a good listen overall. He mentions a lot that there are visuals on his PDF (that wouldn’t open) & website. When you go to the website it’s hard to navigate and you need to provide an email to get access to anything. Most of the content requires you to sign up or pay for courses. I wasn’t able to find the gear he uses on the website either. I just wish it was easily accessible for people who already purchased the auto-book.

Loved this, even as a painting artist, I found much to learn from this.

Excellence in capturing the imagination and making the technical interesting! 80% of this contest can be applied to any of the visual arts, not just photography. Well read!
