Whew, my first year at the academy is over - what a ride.

I paid full price for this audio because I was left at just enough of a cliffhanger that I had to hear books two and three. Love the mystery and the possibility of a quest, but what I loved most was all of the food! These books (1 and 2 so far) just made me ridiculously hungry! The meals are tantalizing and a lot, but not too much!

I've read my share of urban fantasies over the last few years and my fair share of Academy books, this series is well paced and not too much of bullying, lust, gore, it's all just right. I love the camaraderie of the primary cast too. I wonder if craziness is expected in the next book, but at least I am looking forward to it.

Onward to Book 3!

I’ll start by saying I really like this series, but Raven is so annoying and weak. I hate weak main characters. She needs to grow a backbone instead of crying all the time. I really like the side characters and love the family they have become. I hope in the next book, Raven can start kicking ass instead of self doubting herself at every turn, or else I’m done. Bridget is amazing as usual.
