Vintage Leslie Nielsen in character. I miss him!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Ya gotta be a fan of the actor to enjoy this book. But most people seeking it out probably are.

What did you like best about this story?

The famous actor with a dry wit tells his 'biography' in character. There's so much farce you aren't sure what's legit versus him pulling your leg. That's fine with me. It was a refreshing taste of his classic style that had me cracking up over his corny scenarios and word play.

What about Leslie Nielsen’s performance did you like?

Just like his movies, you have to actively listen or much of the humor will zoom right past.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It goes by pretty fast.

Any additional comments?

If you want serious facts you'll get frustrated because his yarns are blended with with puns and humorous nonsense.

5 Stars if Unabridged - Highly Recommend

This a must for anyone that enjoyed him in anything he ever did. The only thing wrong with this book is that it is not unabridged and that it ends. Narrated by Nielsen himself was an honor and an excellent decision. Better than the book because he narrates. If you have the book you definately want this recording. He mixes his comic wit and timing with interesting biography. He reaches back to his start and looks at the struggles experienced trying to establish what would eventually become a successful career. Many funny stories with many told in almost a stand-up routine format. You may feel overwhelmed at times with the joking but this is one book I can honestly come back to for a good laugh anytime. We will miss you Mr. Nielsen and thanks for the laughter.

surely they can't be serious

the book is like listening to a Donald Trump speech nothing but BS of things he never really did. trying to do it in the comical way sometimes it hits but not often. I do love Leslie Nielsen and a lot of the stuff he did after airplane. and surely I am serious but don't call me Shirley or expect much out of this book
