About this listen

Experience freedom by embracing one fear - and releasing all others.

It sounds strange, doesn't it? Exchanging your fears for another. But the fear of God has the power to extinguish every anxiety that keeps you from living in hope.

Best-selling authors Neil Anderson and Rich Miller want to teach you how to let go of the common but harmful fears of failure, evil, and death and find safety in your relationship with God. As you uncover the path to true freedom, you'll also see where your fears come from and why it's exceedingly important to break their hold on you now.

Come, trade your worry-filled days and nights for a worshipful life. See how "in the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence" (Proverbs 14:26) - all you need to live courageously and peacefully, even in frightening times.

Raised as a preacher son. Went threw hell behind closed doors. Believing God is the answer after all that I've been threw and struggle with at 50 brings lack of beliefs and trust in Christian beliefs and Christ. If God works for you then I'm happy for you. And have no ill will towards anyone with Christian beliefs. Believe me I've tried, prayed and begged God. Read the Bible so many times. But the damage that was done is done. l hope someday I live a loving and peaceful life. And not be tormented from my past. But I no longer believe God is the answer. Especially since the abuse was from my pastor and father. And the hurt and damage to this day still exists. My best regards to everyone out there that has positive experiences with God and Christianity.

The author does a good job of explaining the irrational fears that people have. The examples are good the first time that you hear them. That is the positive of the book. From there it gets negative for me; the author reuses several stories and bible verses to explain things. The author also uses self promotion all throughout the book to describe how well he does and the stories of how well this system works. Yet many of the stories contained seem unfeasible and unauthentic. I would rather find a clearer explanation of fighting fear then promoting another book that would help to contend with your problem that is contained in their personal inventory of books that have been written. Many of the group questions are asked more then once and also ask similar questions just rephrased.

If you are looking for another self help book and do not mind repetition to solve your issues with fear then this book would be the book for you! However if you are looking for substance then keep looking.

Too much self promotion!

and talking about the Christian idea of god, which requires you to have belief in this religion, which of course doesn't help at all if you don't believe it. Does it even really help the believers? Does the author even believe it? Just don't see how this is supposed to help at all, sorry. I think Christians just think the Bible has answers to everything, which of course it doesn't. So yeah, if you're looking for an academic book on how to get rid of fear, this is not it.

If you want something logical about fear and practical ways to overcome, read Dr Hawkins books like "transcending the levels of consciousness," or "letting go," etc.

Bunch of Bible verses basically
